Based on preliminary data for delay from all causes, 31% of flights were delayed on departure in March, a 1 percentage point decrease and a return to the low levels observed in 2011. Analysis of delay causes contributing to the average delay per flight shows a notable increase in reactionary delay, with this cause experiencing a 48% share of total delay minutes for all- causes and an increase in its contribution to the average delay per flight of 3.8 minutes, up from 3.5 minutes in March 2011. -

It is a microprocessor-based unit. * Ndlr of Next-up : "Electronic control unit", or ECU is the generic term for the units that control and monitor aircraft systems, including the engines. ECUs are the largest business for the Electrical Division. Hispano-Suiza’s vast experience in engine control systems has driven the development of "smart" control systems in a number of other areas, including thrust reversers, braking, steering, landing gear, propeller deicing, and more. The FADEC continuously processes and analyzes key engine parameters (up to 70 times a second), to make sure the engine operates at maximum potential. It manages the startup phase (which takes only about 40 seconds on the latest models), and then the entire operating envelope, from idle to full throttle. Hispano-Suiza has developed three generations of FADEC systems for high-power commercial aircraft engines (in conjunction with BAE Systems). The latest member of this family is the FADEC 3, designed, produced and supported through FADEC International, a joint venture of Hispano-Suiza and BAE Systems. The FADEC 3 is not only lighter than its predecessor, but has 10 times the computing power. This means it can incorporate new functions, especially maintenance and diagnostics, to better satisfy engine- makers’ current and future needs. The FADEC 3 uses a larger share of off-the-shelf electronic components, has fewer connectors, and more input/outputs to handle more sensors and actuators. -
Superjet International and Powerjet Announce the Completion of the First Ever Export Credit Financing for a Sukhoi Superjet 100
SuperJet International and PowerJet announce the completion of the first ever export credit financing for a Sukhoi Superjet 100 February 10th, 2013 - The first ever export credit financing package for the Sukhoi Superjet 100 was completed in December 2013 at delivery of the fourth out of twenty Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) regional jets ordered by the Mexican airline Interjet. The aircraft was financed through a multilateral export credit guaranteed by Coface, SACE and VEB for the French, Italian and Russian partners, respectively. It represents one of the first financing transactions wholly guaranteed by Coface, the French export credit agency (ECA), for a regional aircraft. It is a first also for SACE acting as a direct guarantor for an aircraft with a 100% guarantee. At the same time, it is also a first for the Russian government, as VEB financed the Russian part in collaboration with the French and Italian export credit agencies and following OECD international rules for aircraft export credit financing. “This first ECA financing was a major international landmark in our industry - said Nazario Cauceglia, CEO of SuperJet international - and our collaboration with PowerJet and its parent company Snecma (Safran) was invaluable. I am sure it will allow a vital boost for future international sales of the SSJ100. Offering our customers not just the most efficient aircraft in its class, but also a competitive financial package, is key factor to the success of this new program." The evolution of selected enterprises in the aviation industry in Romania and Poland after 1989 Andrzej Dubicki1) Abstract Year 1989 was an important turning point, not only in the political history of Poland and Romania, but also for the transport sector of both countries. Political events allowed for a thorough reconstruction of the air transport sector in both countries. Both airfleets entered the new political reality as state-owned enterprises, though with different traditions. Both countries have begun transforming their own aviation market in a similar place, with a rather outdated air fleet, with some few modern aircraft. Nevertheless, the further development of respective aviation markets took place in different ways, as long as no native competitor for LOT appeared in Poland for various reasons, the situation is somewhat different in Romania and TAROM now experiences serious competition from the low-cost carrier BlueAir. Both state-owned enterprises had to take advantage of public aid, LOT in 2012, while TAROM in 2020.Time will show whether the Romanian national carrier will be able to repeat the success of the Polish one, which after a period of recession is now able to expand on the European market.The aim of the article is to show and compare the development of the Polish and Roumanian air markets and to try to find common points of the situation created after 1989. There will be used various sources, including monographs, analysis and articles of this specific topic. -

The second aircraft MSN 95024 (flight 3963) took off at about 7.50 a.m. (local time) from Mexico City airport (MEX) and landed at 8.52 a.m. at Aguascalientes (AGU) airport.
