QCF General Fund Grants 2019

The QCF Capacity Building Grants assist charities develop their structures, systems, people and skills in order to deliver improved outcomes.

Typically, capacity building focuses on education and training, recruiting, maintaining or recognising volunteers, information technology support systems, training, and planning and governance which may include strategic plans, constitution reviews or board appraisals.

The 2019 grant focused on mid-tier organisations promoting social cohesion and fostering community integration, primarily in the arts, the environment including but not limited to drought, and indigenous languages.

2 of 5 QCF Regional Grants 2019 The regional grants program aims to support eligible charitable organisations providing services on the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, and North Queensland . Charities and causes supported may fit within, but are not limited to: community wellbeing, health, arts and culture, animal welfare, children and youth, education, environment, medical research, indigenous and religion which have the following characteristics: • One-off projects for a specific purpose • Demonstrate sustainability beyond the funding period • Strengthen the community • Reduce social disadvantage • Help find solutions to community problems • Benefit as many people as possible
