IMPORTANT INFORMATION About Vikas Vidyalaya, : Ours is one of the oldest residential school of Eastern spread over sprawling 173 acres of land. This school was inaugurated by Dr. Rajendra Prasad – First in 1952. Vikas Vidyalaya has a glorious history. It has produced scores of I.A.S., I.P.S., Doctors, Engineers and bollywood actors of fame. Vikas Vidyalaya, Ranchi is one of the best-equipped schools in India with students from all over the country studying in its sprawling and beautiful campus. Our campus is away from the hustle and bustle of crowded city life, and offers the perfect setting not only for physical well-being but also for a harmonious development of mind and spirit. It is located on NH-33 i.e. on Ranchi – Highway, in District Ranchi ().

Boarding, Lodging & General Discipline:  Vikas Vidyalya, Ranchi will provide accommodation to all outside teams in the school’s hostel. The Team Managers & Coaches of outside teams shall be required to stay with their teams.  Free Pick up and Drop facility shall be provided to all outside teams from Railway Station or Airport on request.  The teams shall be required to pay boarding and lodging charges @ Rs. 350/- per head per day at the time of reporting. 1 | Page  Also, the teams are required to deposit an amount of Rs. 2000/- as caution money which shall be refunded at the time of dispersal of the teams.  The teams shall be provided with beddings (mattresses, bed sheets and pillows). However, teams must carry their own blankets.  Any team willing to leave campus during championship, should inform the host school in writing 24 hours in advance to its departure time, shall be eligible for the refund of payment deposited against meals. However, the refund shall be applicable only for the post 24 hours balance meal coupons.  All teams are expected to carry their own lock, key and mosquito repellents.  The teams shall be responsible for their belongings. Teams are advised not to carry expensive gadgets as host school shall not be held responsible for any loss.  It is expected from each team to be in absolute discipline during the tournament and stay in Vikas Vidyalaya, Ranchi campus. If any kind of indiscipline is noticed, the team may be debarred to play further.  Last entry in the school campus/hostel is permitted up to 09:00 p.m. only.  If the teams indulge themselves into any kind of damage to the school property they need to pay for it before they leave the campus.  Consumption of Alcohol, Smoking, chewing of tobacco or its products and consumption of Non vegetarian food is strictly prohibited on Vikas Vidyalaya campus.  Teams are advised not to invite any unauthorised person(s) (including relatives/friends) from outside as they shall not get permission to visit or stay on the campus.  The teams leaving station before the scheduled departure are required to inform Vikas Vidyalaya authorities at least 4 hours before their departure.  The team managers are required to settle the account and obtain NOC from the designated authority before their departure.

General Rules & Regulations of Tournament:  The tournament shall be conducted as per the rules framed/followed by CBSE Sports 2016-17. A copy of same can be downloaded from our website www.vikasvidyalayaranchi.com.  All players should be within the specified age group. A player shall be under 14 & 19 years of age on 31 Dec 2016.

2 | Page  Under 14 years: Born on or after 01.01.2003  Under 19 years: Born on or after 01.01.1998  All participating schools are requested to bring two school flags of size 3 ft x 4 ½ ft.  It is mandatory for all teams to participate in the March Past. During March Past they need to be in their sports kit.  The respective teams must report at least 20 minutes in advance for the event.  The decision of the referees shall remain final and binding upon all concerned. However, the teams can submit their protest in writing within 30 minutes to the Principal, organizing school or CBSE observer. The protest must be accompanied by a non- refundable fee of Rs. 1000/-.  No team shall be entertained if all desired documents are not submitted at the time of reporting.  Vikas Vidyalaya or its management shall not be responsible for any injury or illness during tournament or stay of teams on its campus. However, the best possible medical aid and assistance shall be arranged / provided on demand.

Documents to be submitted by the Team Managers at the time of Reporting:  Duly countersigned Team photograph with Team Manager and Principal (size 5 x 7) of the participating school.  Hard copy of CBSE Registration for participation duly attested by the concerned Principal.  Identity Card of each participating student in CBSE prescribed format.  CBSE Registration Card of Grade IX for the students studying in Grade X or Original Mark Sheet of Grade X is mandatory for the students studying in Grade XI & XII.  If the student is studying in Grade IX or below Grade IX an attested copy of Birth Certificate is required.
