PRE-MATCH REPORT SCOTLAND vs WALES GUINNESS SIX NATIONS 2020 HEAD TO HEAD - Scotland have won two of their last four Six Nations matches against Wales (L2), more than they’d won in their previous 13 Championship meetings (W1, L12); Gregor Townsend’s men will be aiming to record back-to-back wins against Wales in the Six Nations for the first time since 2002-2003. - Wales have led at halftime in each of their last six visits to BT Murrayfield in the Six Nations, going on to win five of those matches; their only defeat in that run came in 2017 when they lost 29-13 after conceding 20 unanswered second-half points. - Scotland have scored only six tries in their last seven home games against Wales in the Six Nations, never scoring more than two tries in a game in the process, after scoring exactly three tries in each of their first three games at BT Murrayfield against the Welsh team. - Four of the last six meetings between Scotland and Wales in the Six Nations have seen a final margin of seven points or fewer, while 10 of their previous 11 encounters in the Championship ended with a double-digit margin. - Scotland have failed to score a first-half try in eight of their last 10 games against Wales in the Six Nations; however they managed to cross the line for a try during the second-half in seven of those games, including the last six.     Commissioner Jonathan Hill 32 Smith Square, London SW1P 3EU Dear Commissioner Hill, We are writing this open letter to you as NGOs, civil society organisations, campaigners and EU citizens to call on you to amend the proposed rules for addressing excessive price speculation on food and other commodities in financial markets. When the EU legislation - Markets in Financial Instruments Directive II (MiFID II) – was agreed in January 2014, the European Commission claimed that it would be “curbing speculation on commodities and the disastrous impacts it can have on the world's poorest populations.” 1 However, we are alarmed that the proposed rules for implementation 2 will severely weaken the effectiveness of the legislation and will not tackle excessive speculation on food and other commodities. High and volatile food prices have had a devastating impact in poor and food dependent countries, causing increased hunger, poverty and instability. They also affect agricultural producers as well as consumers in the EU and around the world. Strict limits need to be set consistently throughout the EU on the amount that companies and persons can bet on commodity prices in order to curb harmful speculation. However, the proposals to implement MiFID II that you are considering will allow weak and ineffective position limit systems in member states. They will also leave the EU unable to deliver on its commitments by the G20 leaders, G20 Finance Ministers and G20 Agriculture Ministers. The EU agreed to improve the regulation of financial commodity markets to address excessive price volatility 3 as an important step to reduce poverty, achieve food security, budget stability and strong growth that is both sustainable and inclusive 4 including setting up a robust position limits system.

Introduction In this project, I am going to either prove or disprove two hypotheses: • firstly, that the position of a rugby player will make a difference to what they think a great captain is; and • secondly, that for a captain to be great, they do not have to be the best in their position. I will prove or disprove these hypotheses through the following research: • conducting semi-quantitative surveys • reading and analysing 4 great rugby captains’ autobiographies (qualitative research) and their views on leadership and captaincy • and finally wider online research. Rugby is a sport and subject that I am very passionate about, and I aspire to play at the highest level. Currently I play for Hampton U13 Bs and my club (Twickenham) first team. I find captaincy interesting as I think it takes great skill and certain characteristics to be a good captain let alone a country-leading world-famous great captain. My personal experiences of rugby captaincy have been periodically with my school team and regularly for my club. My personal view of rugby captaincy based on my experiences is that you need to be the hardest-working player on the pitch at all times – you may not be the most skilled, but you can be the hardest-working, and respect from your team- mates and from your coaches comes from this work ethic.

England launched their bid to play in the finals of Qatar 2022 with a comprehensive 5-0 thrashing of minnows San Marino at Wembley on Thursday. Rashford and Saka both missed that match and the FA have now confirmed the pair will miss England’s other two qualifying matches this month. England travel to Tirana today and face Poland at Wembley on Wednesday - their last fixture before manager Gareth Southgate names his squad for this year’s Covid-delayed European Championships. “Marcus Rashford and Bukayo Saka will play no part in England’s forthcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers,” the FA said in a statement. “Rashford reported to St George’s Park with an injury that ruled him out of the 5-0 win against San Marino and, following further assessment, it has been decided he will continue his rehabilitation with Manchester United. “Saka had remained at Arsenal for further assess- ment on an ongoing issue with the hope of joining up with the Three Lions but will now not be available for the fixtures against Albania and Poland.” Arsenal teenager Saka made his England debut against Wales in October and has since won a further three caps. Rashford only appeared in two of England’s eight fixtures in 2020 and has now been ruled out with a foot injury that made him miss Manchester United’s FA Cup quarter-final defeat at Leicester.
