Old wounds and rumours of the past resurface and haunt him as he tries to find out who really killed her. The film isn’t your typical revenge film. Looks are deceiving. In fact, it isn’t a revenge film at all. It’s a Greek tragedy that explores the central character’s guilt through Dante’s Inferno. Beyond, the murder and the treachery, the film is an emotional journey about a father and a daughter. This is the heart of the project. Without touching on a father’s love, the film fails. In fact, everything happens because of a father’s love for his daughter. He acts out of love.

  • The Art of Arts: Theorising Pastoral Power in the English Middle Ages
Faculty of English The Art of Arts: Theorising Pastoral Power in the English Middle Ages Johannes Wolf King’s College University of Cambridge This dissertation is submitted for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy January 2017 Johannes Wolf The Art of Arts: Theorising Pastoral Power in the English Middle Ages Gregory the Great described the government of souls as ‘the art of arts,’ a sentiment that the Fourth Lateran Council would echo in 1215. This thesis takes as its fundamental proposition that this ‘art’ can be understood as a ‘craft’, one that is responsible for producing and maintaining a Christian subjectivity marked by introspection, inwardness, and a strong distrust of externalities. Using a theoretical framework influenced by Michel Foucault I suggest a tradition of administering and producing these subjects through ‘pastoral power.’ Charting the trajectory of these ideas from the ascetics of the early church through to fifteenth-century Middle English texts, I explore the dynamics produced by texts invested in producing this specific form of subjectivity as they expand their reach from a specialised audience of monks to an increasingly laicised vernacular sphere. This investigation is broken into two halves. The thesis begins with a re-reading of Michel Foucault’s theories of power and subjection. Here I suggest that there are important conceptual connections between Foucault’s concept of ‘discipline’ and medieval approaches to the care of the soul. The first half of the thesis stresses the longue durée development of pastoral power, focussing on two particular historical moments. The first of these chapters engages with the pastoral and monastic thinkers of the early church, who developed two overlapping regimes – that of body and spirit.

Regular system failures and unresponsive vendor support were causing serious headaches. When the studio lost 100’s of GBs in a single failure, they had to make an immediate change. The studio turned to Nexsan to deliver highly efficient storage systems that would eliminate reliability issues while conserving power and space. • Animation Made in Germany 2015 a Guide to Animation Production Companies 001
ANIMATION MADE IN GERMANY 2015 A guide to animation production companies 001 Introduction The booklet “Animation made in Germany 2015” is published by the German Producers Alliance – Film & Television and supported by several regional film funds in Germany with the aim to showcase animation com- panies that work out of Germany along with their products. It is being published as a practical handbook at the occasion of the Cartoon Forum 2015 and the workshop on “German-European Alliances in Animation” organized in connection with this event. At this workshop German repre- sentatives from the industry and their international counterparts will dis- cuss perspectives, trends and opportunities in animation focusing on Poland and the Baltic States. This booklet “Animation made in Germany 2015” expands on a prior initiative of seven German regional film funds and again this year is supported by such funds (as listed on page 002). Each company represented in this booklet has been suggested to be included by one or more of the regional film funds or other market participants – without claiming to cover the entire industry. We trust, however, that it does reflect the great variety of the industry’s potential in content, technique, creativity and style. Additionally it tries to show how the various target groups of the audience are addressed and how the network of producers, film funds and TV partners works in Germany. As such it delivers a good idea of the German industry and of the portfolio a German business part- ner has to offer. We hope that you will find this compendium useful to find suitable partners for your projects in Germany.
