Most Recent Planning Application TU458307 Carraig Cluain Services The last Grant-of-Planning had conditioned a substantial upgrading of services. The upgrading of the network forms part of the “Tullamore Sewerage Scheme Network”. The Council had insisted on diverting existing services and the construction of new sewers. The conditions associated with the initial application (pertaining to foul and surface water infrastructure) appear to be consistent with the proposals in the Tullamore Sewerage Scheme Network preliminary report. The requirement for this infrastructure in terms of capacity, placement are likely to still be relevant.

The infrastructure development of Tullamore has been rapid over the past number of years. The town lies between the Dublin to Road in the north (the existing N6) and the Dublin to Limerick Road in the south (N7). The principle traffic route of the M50 connects with the Dublin/Galway Road at which is 5 miles north of Tullamore. The principle route of the N80 connecting to the Dublin / Limerick Road at is an important National Secondary route linking the entire Northwest region with Rosslare and also linking the N6 route to Galway with the N7 and N8 to Limerick and Cork.
