You may require a visa to be able to visit the United Kingdom. This section will explain how to check if you need a visa and also the process of applying for a visa. The application process can take up to 6 weeks when applying for a visa to enter the United Kingdom so please apply early.

If you do not need a visa, then we look forward to welcoming you to Manchester in May. If you do need a visa, please see Step 2 below.

1. You will need a letter of invitation from our LOC to support your visa application. To get this letter, please login to GMS via World Taekwondo. Here you can request a Letter of Invitation for the World Taekwondo Championships 2019.

Arrival & Departure • Manchester Airport (MAN) - official port of entry for the Championships • Official arrival and departure transport provided to and from Manchester Airport. • This will only be available if you book your accommodation through our accommodation provider CSE. • Journey time – 30 minutes from Manchester Airport to Manchester City Centre.

Shuttle Service • Shuttle buses will be running between all official hotels* and the competition venue on event days (15th - 19th May) except from Park Inn and the Travelodge as these hotels are located next to the Championship venue. • Shuttle service between all official hotels and the registration centre from 11th May. Excluding the Park Inn and the Travelodge which are walking distance from the venue. • Shuttle buses will be running between Manchester City Centre and the Training Venue frequently. • This service is only available if you book your accommodation through our accommodation provider CSE. • Shuttle buses provided on training dates: Saturday 11th May – Saturday 18th May 2019 Shuttles will run between 08:30 – 20:30.
