Mission Statement

The Illinois Trojan Organization is committed to providing area baseball players with the opportunity to advance to the next level through proprietary professional training methods. Our ability to expose our players to college programs, which numbers over 500 college coaches in our network and pro scouts is second to none.

We seek out quality players and opponents and strive to be the best by competing with the best. We seek to develop these young men into leaders on and off the field by stressing character, dedication, and working as a team.

Professional Coaches Training / Instruction

Mark Sheehan, Lead Pitching Instructor Coach Sheehan played baseball at St. Cloud State and is a 10-time Certified Instructor with the prestigious National Pitching Association (NPA) & the Rod Dedeaux Research Baseball Institute (RDRBI) at the University of Southern California. Mark is an Elite Pitching Instructor with the White Sox Academy and is one of the most sought after pitching instructors in the Midwest.

Michael Madsen, Lead Hitting & Fielding Instructor Coach Madsen worked as an instructor at the Chicago White Sox Academy for 9 years, 4 as lead instructor at the Glen Ellyn Academy before starting Elite9 Baseball (collegiate exposure team for Illinois Trojans at 15u level and up). Mike played collegiate at Dominican University before playing professionally in Germany and then Team USA. Mike has head coaching experience at Indian Creek High School, the White Sox Academy Travel Program and with the Oakbrook Outlaws.

Matt Brannigan, Hitting & Fielding Instructor Coach Brannigan played his college baseball at Eastern Illinois University from 2003-2005. Matt has been an instructor with the Chicago White Sox Academy since 2003.

Dan Frega, Hitting, Fielding & Pitching Instructor Coach Frega played college ball at Illinois State for 3 years before being drafted in 2006 by the Cleveland Indians where he played for 2 seasons before deciding to go back to school to finish his degree. Dan works for the White Sox Academy in Glen Ellyn.

Jordan DeGeorge, Catching & Fielding Instructor Coach DeGeorge is an Assistant Coach at Wheaton College and former player at Beloit College. Jordan has been an instructor with the Chicago White Sox Academy since 2010.

Trojans 13U Structure

Professional Coaching and Instruction National Pitching Association (NPA) Velocity Program Fall League (optional participation) 12-15 games Winter League (Rosemont Dome) 12-15 games Spring Season (April-July) 40-55 games 6-7 Tournaments, 1 Out-of-State (Myrtle Beach, Ripken) Indoor Training at Naperville Baseball Academy, Quarry, White Sox Academy, etc. (2-3 practices per week in November, 2 practices per week January thru February, 3 practices per week in March)

Team Fee $2800 ($800 out-of-pocket, $2000 thru fundraising) includes $900 for Myrtle Beach Tournament $200 commitment fee due within 24-hours of offer , $200 team payments due Sept 1st / Oct 1st / Nov 1st $400 estimated uniform costs
