The Braves were selected to finish first in the KCAC for the sixth straight Oct. 12 Bethel* 7pm season by the conference coaches in the KCAC Coaches Poll. Oct. 16 at Tabor* 7pm Oct. 20 at Sterling* 7pm - Ottawa is in its 46th season of volleyball and has a program record of 714-814. Since 2012, Ottawa has a record of 252- Oct. 23 Oklahoma Wesleyan* 7pm 101. That is a winning percentage of .719. Oct. 26 at York* 6pm - The Braves had three players named to the KCAC Preseason Women’s Volleyball Team. They are Ayona Tharps, Ryleigh Oct. 30 Bethany* 2pm Burdick, and Katelyn Elstun. This is the third time that Tharps has been named to the preseason team. It is Burdick’s second Nov. 3 at (RV) McPherson* 7pm selection. Nov. 6 Friends* 1pm - OU swept the weekly KCAC women’s volleyball awards this past week. Ayona Tharps was named KCAC Attacker of the Week, Kaitlyn Haller earned KCAC Setter of the Week honors, and Emily Jackson was selected as KCAC Defender of the Week. * - KCAC Games - Home games are in BOLD and are played in Wilson Field House - Ottawa is ranked 28th in the NAIA in kills per set (13), 38th in assists per set (11.7), and 12th in digs per set (18.8). Kaitlyn Haller is ranked 47th in the NAIA in assists per set (7.8). - In Ottawa’s four matches at the Hampton Inn Classic, the Braves had 221 kills, a .183 attacking percentage, averaged 13 kills per set, had 200 assists, averaged 11.76 assists per set, had 320 digs, averaged 18.8 digs per set, and had 19 total blocks. 2021 KCAC Standings - This is the first time the OU is playing Dakota Wesleyan, Southwestern Assembles is God, and Mayville State. Team KCAC Overall - Dakota Wesleyan University is 5-0 to start the 2021 season. DWU has victories over Tabor, Bethany, University of Saint Mary, Sterling College -- 5-1 Friends, and Presentation. The Tigers have not dropped a set, entering the GoSarpy.com Tournament, this season. McPherson College -- 2-1 Uni. of Saint Mary -- 5-3 - The Tigers are ranked 14th in the NAIA in kills per set (13.8), 17th in attacking percentage (.258), 19th in assists per set Bethel College -- 4-3 (12.4), 39th in digs per set (17), 40th in block assists (62), and 16th in blocks per set (2.3). Kansas Wesleyan Uni. -- 5-4 - Southwestern Assemblies of God University is 4-1 to open the 2021 season. SAGU’s one loss was to Our Lady of the Lake, Tabor College -- 3-6 3-2 on Aug. 27. The Lions bounced back to take a 3-0 victory over OLL on Aug. 28. Those are the only two sets that SAGU has Avila University -- 2-3 lost in five matches. York College -- 2-5 Friends University -- 2-5 - SAGU is ranked 36th in the NAIA in service aces per set (2.24), 32nd in digs per set (17.2), 32nd in block assists (68), 40th Ottawa University -- 1-3 in total blocks (41), 13th in blocks per set (2.41), and eighth in blocking errors (15). Oklahoma Weslean Uni. -- 0-3 - Mayville State University is 2-3 to start its 2021 season with wins over Kansas Wesleyan University and Haskell. The Comets Southwestern College -- 0-4 have lost to Briar Cliff University, Oklahoma Panhandle State, and Hastings.
