(21 JANUARI 2021) 1. LAPORAN HARIAN Hari Ini Terdapat Satu (1) Ke Kenyataan Media JPBN Bil 21/2021 JAWATANKUASA PENGURUSAN BENCANA NEGERI SARAWAK KENYATAAN MEDIA (21 JANUARI 2021) 1. LAPORAN HARIAN Hari ini terdApAt sAtu (1) kes kemAtian baharu melibatkan jangkitan COVID-19 di Sarawak. Ini menjadikan jumlah keseluruhan kematian meningkat kepada 22 kes. Manakala terdapat 132 kes positif COVID-19 yang dikesan di Sarawak [Sibu (62), Kanowit (46), Bintulu (12), Miri (5), Kuching (3), Dalat (1),Lubok Antu (1), Serian (1) dan Selangau (1)]. Ini menjadikan jumlah keseluruhan kes positif COVID-19 di Sarawak meningkAt kepAdA 2,702 kes. A. Kes KemAtiAn Baharu COVID-19. Kes kematian ke-22 merupakan kes ke-2,546 yang melibatkan seorang lelaki warga tempatan (Sarawak), berumur 51 tahun yang dimasukkan ke Hospital Miri pada 18 Januari 2021 kerana mengalami kesukaran dalam pernafasan semasa lawatan ke Nephron Klinik pada hari berkenaan. Beliau disahkan meninggal dunia pada 4:50 petang, 20 Januari 2021. 1 Kenyataan Media JPBN Bil 21/2021 Saringan ujian COVID-19 diambil pada 18 Januari 2021 didapati positif pada 20 Januari 2021. Kes mempunyai penyakit kegagalan buah pinggang pada tahap akhir yang memerlukan rawatan dialisis. Jawatankuasa Pengurusan Bencana Negeri Sarawak mengucapkan ucapan Takziah kepada ahli keluarga mangsa. B. Kes BahAru COVID-19 I. DaerAh Sibu (62 Kes) a) 35 kes yang melibatkan Kluster Pasai. b) 19 kes lain-lain saringan COVID-19 melibatkan individu yang menjalani saringan ke pusat-pusat kesihatan di Daerah Sibu. c) 8 kes saringan dalam kalangan petugas kesihatan. II. DaerAh KanoWit (46 Kes) a) 46 kes yang melibatkan Kluster Pasai. III. DaerAh Bintulu (12 Kes) a) 10 kes yang melibatkan Kluster Rakut. Seramai enam (6) kes dikategorikan sebagai kes Import C dari Miri dan empat (4) kes dikategorikan sebagai kes jangkitan tempatan. 2 Kenyataan Media JPBN Bil 21/2021 b) 1 kes individu yang disaring kerana mempunyai kontak kepada kes positif COVID-19. Kes dikategorikan sebagai kes jangkitan tempatan. c) 1 kes individu disaring kerana bergejala. Kes dikategorikan sebagai kes jangkitan tempatan. IV. DaerAh Miri (5 Kes) a) 4 kes yang melibatkan Kluster Pasai. Kes dikategorikan sebagai kes Import C dari Daerah Sibu. b) 1 kes saringan individu yang pulang dari kawasan berisiko tinggi jangkitan COVID-19 melibatkan warga tempatan (Sarawak) iaitu dari Sabah. V. DaerAh Kuching (3 Kes) a) 2 kes yang melibatkan Kluster Rakut. Kes dikategorikan sebagai kes Import C dari Daerah Miri. b) 1 kes individu yang disaring kendiri COVID-19. Kes dikategorikan sebagai kes jangkitan tempatan. VI. DaerAh Lubok Antu (1 Kes) a) 1 kes individu yang disaring kerana mempunyai kontak kepada kes positif COVID-19. Kes dikategorikan sebagai kes jangkitan tempatan. 3 Kenyataan Media JPBN Bil 21/2021 VII. Daerah DalAt (1 Kes) a) 1 kes yang melibatkan Kluster Pasai. VIII. DaerAh SeriAn (1 Kes) a) 1 kes individu yang disaring kali kedua bagi kes pengesanan secara aktif di Icom Square, Kuching. Kes dikategorikan sebagai kes Import C dari Kuching. IX. DaerAh SelAngAu (1 Kes) a) 1 kes yang melibatkan Kluster Pasai. C. Kluster Yang MAsih Aktif. Hari ini lapan (8) kluster COVID-19 yang masih aktif di Sarawak iaitu: I. Kluster RAkut, Miri : terdapat penambahan 18 kes hari ini menjadikan jumlah keseluruhan meningkat kepada 28 kes. Sejumlah 100 individu telah disaring, dimana 44 negatif dan 28 masih menunggu keputusan makmal. II. Kluster Bukit Sekubong, SebAuh : tiada penambahan kes hari. Jumlah keseluruhan kes kekal 26 kes. Sejumlah 260 individu telah disaring, dimana 234 negatif dan tiada menunggu keputusan makmal. 4 Kenyataan Media JPBN Bil 21/2021 III. Kluster JelitA, Miri : tiada penambahan kes hari ini. Jumlah keseluruhan kes kekal 35 kes. Sejumlah 200 individu telah disaring, dimana 145 negatif dan 20 masih menunggu keputusan makmal. IV. Kluster PasAi, Sibu : terdapat penambahan 88 kes hari ini menjadikan jumlah keseluruhan meningkat kepada 982 kes. Sejumlah 8,250 individu telah disaring, dimana 5,500 negatif dan 1,768 masih menunggu keputusan makmal. V. Kluster KerAnji TAbuAn, Kuching : tiada penambahan kes hari ini. Jumlah keseluruhan kes kekal 15 kes. Sejumlah 181 individu telah disaring, dimana 166 negatif dan tiada menunggu keputusan makmal. VI. Kluster Bah Sayap, Miri : tiada penambahan kes hari ini. Jumlah keseluruhan kes kekal 91 kes. Sejumlah 750 individu telah disaring, dimana 649 negatif dan 10 masih menunggu keputusan makmal. VII. Kluster Stutong, Kuching : tiada penambahan kes hari ini. Jumlah keseluruhan kes kekal 40 kes. Sejumlah 550 individu telah disaring dimana 510 negatif dan tiada menunggu keputusan makmal. VIII. Kluster MAdor, MerAdong : tiada penambahan kes hari ini. Jumlah keseluruhan kes kekal lapan (8) kes. Sejumlah 1,238 individu telah disaring, dimana 1,230 negatif. 5 Kenyataan Media JPBN Bil 21/2021 D. StAtus Kes Covid-19 Di Dalam Wad Pengasingan Hospital Terdapat 92 kes baharu yang telah pulih dan dibenarkan discaj pada hari ini dari Hospital Sibu (57), Hospital Miri (30) dan Hospital Umum Sarawak (5). Ini menjadikan jumlah keseluruhan kes positif COVID- 19 yang telah pulih atau dibenarkan discaj meningkat kepada 1,323 orang atau 48.96% dari jumlah keseluruhan kes COVID-19 di Sarawak. Jumlah kes yang masih mendapat rawatan dan diasingkan di hospital adalah seramai 1,357 orang iaitu: • 894 kes di Hospital Sibu; • 256 kes di Hospital Miri; • 132 kes di Hospital Umum Sarawak; • 74 kes di Hospital Bintulu; dan • 1 di Hospital Limbang. Terdapat tiga (3) kes di Hospital Sibu dan satu (1) kes di Hospital Umum Sarawak yang memerlukan bantuan peralatan tetapi dalam keadaan stabil. Terdapat satu (1) kes kematian baharu dilaporkan hari ini. Jumlah kematian akibat jangkitan COVID-19 meningkat kepada 22 orAng atau 0.81%. Hari ini, 192 PUI baru telah dilaporkan dan 57 PUI yang masih menunggu keputusan ujian makmal. 6 Kenyataan Media JPBN Bil 21/2021 E. RingkAsAn Kes Mengikut DAerAh Di SarAWAk. Daerah Kuching, Sibu, Miri, Beluru dan Kanowit kekal berstatus Merah dengan sejumlah 1,206 kes jangkitan tempatan dilaporkan di lima (5) buah daerah ini dalam tempoh 14 hari yang lepas. Daerah Sebauh dan Dalat juga kekal berstatus Jingga dengan 50 kes jangkitan tempatan dilaporkan dalam tempoh 14 hari yang lepas. Daerah Serian, Daro, Subis, Belaga, Betong, Meradong, Julau, Kapit, Simunjan, Asajaya, Beluru, Selangau, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Bukit Mabong, Bintulu, Limbang, Kanowit kekal berstatus Kuning dengan jumlah keseluruhan 87 kes jangkitan tempatan dilaporkan dalam tempoh 14 hari yang lepas. Manakala 15 daerah yang lain kekal berstatus Hijau. 7 Kenyataan Media JPBN Bil 21/2021 2. LAPORAN NOTIS KOMPAUN/AMARAN/SITAAN Pihak PDRM telah mengeluarkan sebanyak 10 kompaun di daerah Samarahan (5), Padawan (3) dan Sarikei (2) kerana telah melanggar SOP. Manakala Kementerian Kerajaan Tempatan dan Perumahan Sarawak telah mengeluarkan 153 notis amaran lisan dan bertulis di bawah PBT seliaan mereka iaitu DBKU (55), MPP (33), SMC (26), MD Marudi (10), MBKS (8), BDA (8), MD Serian (7), MB Miri (4) dan MD Limbang (2). ISBN 978-9971-69-775-4 (pbk) This book is family history, military history, colonial history and political history in one. The rebellion of the title took place in Borneo during the decolonisation era. The author, Eileen Chanin from the University of New South Wales, is a prize-winning historian. Her new book, many years in the making, is based on extensive research in Sarawak (Malaysia), Singapore, Australia and the United Kingdom (pp. 205–36). She also trawled the archives of the Imperial War Museum, the Royal Marines and the Mill Hill Missionaries. Telling use is made of her own family’s papers: her parents-in-law were Richard and Dorothy Morris, an Australian in the British Colonial Service and his wife, who were taken hostage by rebels in Sarawak in 1962. They were released unharmed following military action by a vastly outnumbered detachment of Royal Marines. Five com- mandos were killed and six wounded during the engagement. Captain Richard Holywell Morris OBE SMB (1915–2000), an only child of Anglo-Welsh heritage, with but a “patchy education” (p. 28), arrived in Borneo in 1945 with the Australian Imperial Force. After the war he was appointed to the Sarawak Civil Service, in which he served until his retirement in 1964. By November 1962, when he took up his appointment as Resident (administrator) of the Limbang District, he had worked in all five administrative divisions of the crown colony, in addition to a long spell (1954–8) in neighbouring Brunei.

A survey of 200 respondents in the Song district was conducted. To determine the objective eth- nolinguistic vitality, a structural analysis was performed on their sociolinguistic backgrounds. The results show the Iban language dominates in family, friend- ship, transactions, religious, employment, and education domains. The language use patterns show functional differentiation into the Iban language as the “low language” and Malay as the “high language”. The respondents have positive at- titudes towards the Iban language. The dimensions of language attitudes that are strongly positive are use of the Iban language, Iban identity, and intergenera- tional transmission of the Iban language. The marginally positive dimensions are instrumental use of the Iban language, social status of Iban speakers, and prestige value of the Iban language. Inferential statistical tests show that language atti- tudes are influenced by education level. However, language attitudes and useof the Iban language are not significantly correlated. By viewing language use and attitudes from the perspective of ethnolinguistic vitality, this study has revealed that a numerically dominant group assumed to be safe from language shift has only medium vitality, based on both objective and subjective evaluation.

Incision values vary from 9 to 76 m, a likely result of strong temporary precipitation, in combination with ongoing uplift. Conglomerates and gravels are monomictic, almost exclusively formed by the Lower Miocene Meligan sandstone, and deposited in nested fluvial terraces. The described pattern differs from coastal terraces of the Miri area; the latter do not contain conglomerates other than locally-derived and recycled quartz clasts. The available age and uplift data, when plotted log-normal, suggest that the mountainous central Borneo uplift was continuous of some 6-7 mm a-1, whilst low-lying coastal wetland areas in Brunei and Sarawak may only have seen a very minor uplift in the order of 0.8 mm a-1. The uplift may be ongoing at the present day.
