We feel fortunate that ties to this TV station run strong, and that former staffers and the families of employees who’ve passed away come by and visit. It was a delight to get together with relatives of two men who helped build the quality of public television in Hawai‘i. The visit was organized by Dr. Mary Bitterman, Akio Sakata Joe Konno who headed the TV station when the late engineer Akio Sakata and the late photographer Joe Konno were in their heyday. Mary went on to become a national PBS What a blast we had with our leader.
