The Star Spangled Banner Words Written by Francis Scott Key Music by John Stafford Smith Oh, say can you see by the dawn’s early light? what so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming, whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight o’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming. And the rockets’ red glare, the bombs bursting in air, gave proof through the night that our flag was still there. Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave, o’er the land of the free and the home of the brave. ★ The Pledge of Allegiance Words by Francis Bellamy I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. ★ Flag Etiquette [SEC 171 United States Code] During the rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all present, except those in uniform, should stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Men not in uniform should remove their headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart. Persons in uniform should render the military salute at the first note of the anthem and retain this position until the last note. When the flag is not displayed, those present should face toward the music and act in the same manner they would if the flag were displayed there. (Pub. We must decide whether to continue the failed policies and path started by the Clinton Administration, expanded upon by the Obama Administration, and now proposed by Hillary Clinton. Or, we can choose to pursue a better direction that will lead our country towards brighter prosperity for our future generations. We need real leadership. Donald Trump is the very definition of the American success story, continually setting the standards of excellence, while expanding his interests in real estate, sports, and entertainment. This week, the Republican National Convention will share the stories of Republicans from around the country who want to ‘Make America Great Again’ and know that Donald Trump is the man who can get it done. The program this week will highlight speakers, films, live remotes, and other testimonials that showcase Americans who believe in Donald Trump’s leadership and his vision for our country.
