From the Graff Library home page, http://library.coh.org, select Journals A-Z
Search for a Journal
The Find feature allows you to search for a journal by title, keyword, or ISSN
Title begins with will find all journals in the Graff Library collection that begin with the word “virology” including Virology and Virology Journal Title equals will find the journal Virology Title contains all words will find every library journal with “virology” anywhere in the title including Archives of Virology, Journal in Contemporary Virology, Journal of Medical Virology, Virology, etc ISSN equals allows you to search for a specific journal by International Standard Serial Number
Browse the Journal Collection
Select your letter of choice (e.g., D)
Each page contains 100 title entries The navigation links at the top and bottom of each page list the first journal title on each page of 100 titles. For example, the D list begins on page 1 with D-Lib Magazine, page 2 (shown above) begins with Developmental Cell Use the navigation links to go to the correct place in the alphabet then scroll down or use the “Find” feature of your browser (usually Ctrl+F) to jump to the journal you want
Interpreting the List of Available Journals
Each journal title includes every version available; print and online journals are both included
Blackwell-Synergy Online – the library subscribes to this journal from 1988 to the present and the subscription is through the publisher, Blackwell Publishing Blackwell-Synergy Online – Open Access – the publisher makes this journal freely available from 1988 to 2 years ago Blackwell STM Collection (SCELC) – City of Hope has access to this journal from 2003 to the present because it is part of the collection available to the library through the Statewide California Electronic Library Consortium (SCELC). SCELC negotiates low-priced journal packages for academic and special libraries. Graff Library Print Collection – this journal is available in print in the Graff Library from 2003 – 2007
The links to the online content will take you directly to the journal. The Graff Library Print Collection link will connect you to the library’s homepage where you can search the catalog; however, since the available years are listed before the link, there is no need to click and search the catalog.
2 Search for a Specific Article Using the PubMed ID Number
If you have a PMID you can enter it into the Journal A-Z page search and link to the article you need
Searching retrieves the article linker page which will list your citation and any full text availability
Clicking on the Article link for from the AACR Online will open the PDF of the article. The crossref Article link (when listed) will produce the same results. If an Article link is not listed, the Journal link will link to the electronic journal’s homepage where you can navigate to the volume and issue you need. Print holdings are also listed.

When the library does not subscribe to the journal online or in print the availability section will indicate that no subscriptions were found. Clicking on the Interlibrary Loan request form will automatically populate the form with the citation information.
