Download The Communiqué de presse Press release Confidential C 25/11/2020 – Championnat de France des Rallyes Manu Guigou, French Champion with the Alpine A110 Rally! Unvanquished in his class this year, Manu Guigou added another title to his record with a tenth success in the two-wheel drive category of the French FFSA Tarmac Rally Championship. Undefeated on the French roads, Alpine also wins its first national title since the one scored by the Alpine A310 V6 in the hands of Guy Fréquelin 43 years ago. Introduced this season, the French 2WD Rally Championship was in the sights of Manu Guigou for his return to the national scene. After six months of development work with the Alpine A110 Rally and the Signatech team under the direction of Lionel Chevalier, Manu scored maximum points on the Touquet Rally before making at Mont-Blanc his competition debut with the model for which he is the ambassador. Honouring the brand's name and rich history, Manu Guigou put in a dream start by setting the best absolute time on the opening special stage versus 33 four-wheel drive cars, including R5s and WRC entries. With three scratch times, the Team Joffroy driver won the two-wheel drive class and finished third overall. Three weeks later, Manu Guigou was back for more on the Cœur de France Rally. With a serious and diligent drive around the city of Vendôme despite the tricky conditions, he won by more than a minute from his closest rival, who was also behind the wheel of an Alpine A110 Rally, with more times among the leaders in the general classification. Thanks to these wins, Manu Guigou and co-driver Alexandre Coria have officially won the two-wheel drive honours in the French Rally Championship. Alpine wins its first official title since its return to rally competition at the start of the year and its first title in France since the triumph of Guy Fréquelin in 1977. "I am extremely proud and honoured to be part of Alpine's rich sporting history," said Manu Guigou after his title announced on Tuesday evening. "Signatech has built a high- performance car that respects the brand's DNA. To have my name associated with the Alpine brand is a childhood dream that has now come true. • Renault Alpine A110 1300 with the Cleon Alu Ts Engine
RENAULT ALPINE A110 1300 WITH THE CLEON ALU TS ENGINE 1973 Renault Alpine 1100 1300 2 owner with R8 gordini TS cléon Alu engine Launched in 1961 the A110, like previous road-going Alpines, used many Renault parts, including engines. While its predecessor the A108 was designed around Dauphine components, the A110 was updated to use R8 parts. Unlike the A108, which was available first as a cabriolet and only later as a coupé, the A110 was available first as a Berlinette and then as a cabriolet. The most obvious external difference with the A108 coupé was restyled rear bodywork. Done to accommodate the A110's larger engine, this change gave the car a more aggressive look. Like the A108, the A110 featured a steel backbone chassis and a fiberglass body. The A110 achieved most of its fame in the early 1970s as a successful rally car. After winning several rallies in France in the late 1960s with the cast-iron R8 Gordini Cléon-Fonte engines the car was fitted with the aluminium-block Cléon-Alu from the Renault 16 TS. With two twin-venturi Weber 40 carburetors, the TS engine has a power tel roel: +32 498 519603 - tel pieter: +32 493 700409 - [email protected] - senator alfons jeurissenlaan 1229-1231, 3520 zonhoven output of 125 hp (93 kW) DIN at 6,000 rpm. This allowed the production to attain a top speed of 210 km/h (130 mph). The car achieved international fame during the 1970–1972 seasons competing in the newly created International Championship for Manufacturers, winning several events around Europe, earning a reputation as one of the strongest rally cars of its time.

For more than 115 years Renault has embraced the challenge of motorsport in multiple guises. It recognised the value of competitive activities for technical and commercial gain: in December 1898 Louis Renault drove the Type A Voiturette up the steepest street in Paris, the rue Lepic. The first orders for the ground-breaking car with direct drive flooded in. In 1902 the nimble, lightweight Type K, fitted with Renault’s first 4-cylinder engine, took victory in the Paris-Vienna rally. Again, many more cars were sold. Going through the years, in 1977 Renault introduced the first-ever turbocharged car to F1.

PRESS RELEASE 28062017 ALPINE A110 MAKES ITS DYNAMIC UK DEBUT AT GOODWOOD FESTIVAL OF SPEED Alpine A110 to take to the hill at Goodwood Festival of Speed in UK action debut Historic Alpines also on display and driven throughout the weekend First deliveries of Alpine A110 in the UK expected in early 2018 Iconic sports car brand, Alpine, will return to the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year with the productionready A110. Ahead of going on sale in the UK in early 2018, the compact and agile twoseater A110 will be seen in motion for the very first time in this country when it will take to the hill as part of the legendary Supercar Run. On display will be the very Alpine that won outright at the 1978 Le Mans 24 hour race, the triumphant Alpine A442 B. Running up the hill will be a member of Alpine’s victorious rallying heritage – the A310 – as part of the Touring Car, NASCAR, Drift & Rally group. The presence of these cars, both past and present, underlines Alpine’s fascinating and glorious history as well as providing an insight into the future of the marque with the new A110. 1978 Alpine A442 B This is the racecar that won Alpine outright victory in the 1978 Le Mans 24 Hours, with Jean Pierre Jaussaud and Didier Pironi. Its success was the culmination of five years of work, the A442 B evolving from the first normallyaspirated A440, the A441 and then the turbocharged 442. There were many wins in Sport World Championship events on the way, but plenty of heartache before Alpine’s ultimate goal was scored.
