Recovery from The Great East Japan Earthquake Restoration of the Airport Facilities Damaged by The Great East JapanEarthquake The Great East Japan Earthquake followed by the massive tsunami on March 11 submerged the entire site of Sendai Airport including the airport facilities, such as the passenger terminal building.
