RINGO STARR ABALONE 1) There is only ONE Ringo Starr Abalone Drum Kit on the planet. 2) Each of the four drum shells has been hand signed by Ringo. 3) Items included in this sale: the Drums, Hardware, Cymbals, Cases and the Memorabilia Piece are ALL in excellent condition. 4) Ringo gave The Abalone Drum kit to Jeff Chonis five years ago. Jeff has been Ringo’s drum tech since 1989. A letter from Ringo’s attorney (Bruce Grakal) confirms said agreement. The letter will be included in the sale. 5) Jeff Chonis is offering to sell The Abalone Kit with Ringo’s blessing.

6) The drum heads that come with The Abalone Kit, are the drum heads played by Ringo at the end of the 2006 Ringo Starr and His All Star Band Tour. 7) A Certificate of Authenticity for the Ringo Abalone Kit, hand signed by Jeff Chonis, will be included. 8) 10% of the sale price will be donated to Ringo and Barbara’s charity, The Lotus Foundation. 9) The asking price for The Ringo Starr Abalone Kit and all of the additional items (see inventory), is $150,000.

The Ringo Starr collectible memorabilia pieces are an original limited edition series. The Abalone series consist of 72 pieces, each signed and numbered.

The primary purpose for creating and offering this collectible piece is to donate 100% of the proceeds to Ringo’s charity, The Lotus Foundation.

Each piece consists of four rare elements: 1. Each piece is hand signed by Ringo Starr. 2. A pair of Ringo’s signature drum sticks that Ringo played during a live show. 3. A reproduction of the hand-crafted, custom Abalone drum finish applied to Ringo’s drums. The Abalone finish drum kit was played by Ringo on the 2006 Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band tour. 4. The piece is 30” x 22” constructed using a museum quality frame, Acid-free Museum quality Matt board, Acid-free Rag Back, and Museum quality Plexiglas.

The piece was designed by Jeff Chonis, Ringo Starr’s personal drum tech since 1989. Jeff collected the drum sticks played by Ringo Starr from the live shows.

Each piece includes a Certificate of Authenticity hand signed by Jeff Chonis.
