The Revenue Department together with the of , the commercial and National Digital ID Company Limited develop a digital identification system via NDID Platform in order to facilitate and secure the online transactions and prevent the fraudulent cases. The pilot project begins with Personal Income Tax by e-filing and Allowance control by My Tax Account which are available from 18th March 2021 onwards. Mrs. Sommai Siriudomset, Principal Advisor on Strategic Tax Administration (Energy Industry) as Spokesperson of the Revenue Department revealed that “The Revenue Department together with the , the commercial Banks and National Digital ID Company Limited develop the digital identification system via NDID Platform which is an option for self-identification to get access to online transactions of the Revenue Department. The pilot project beginning with Personal Income Tax by e-filing and Allowance control by My Tax Account will facilitate, standardize and build trust from users. The commercial banks, moreover, will examine and verify self-identification via banks’ application to assure and convince the authentic user on the website of the Revenue Department when consent is made and the users are consequently able to go further for more services in the future. The 8 partner banks nowadays are Bank PCL., PCL., PCL., Kasikornthai Bank PCL., Kiatnakin Bank PCL., CIMB Thai Bank PCL., Thai Military Bank PCL., and PCL., without any charge. To apply NDID, the user must meet conditions of the banks while the services are available from 18th March 2021 onwards.” Spokesperson of the Revenue Department added that “The Revenue Department promotes the use of technology to render services for entrepreneurs and taxpayers being capable to conclude transactions easily, cheaply and being safe for getting access to personal information and the use of electronic transactions.
