367 E. 260th Street Euclid, OH 44132 | Phone: 216.731.1515 FJB’s Blog Dear Parishioners,

Happy Taste of Nations and Homecoming weekend! This is a weekend when we wel- come quite a few guests to the parish. We hope they find us to be a welcoming and loving com- munity. It will be great to have so many people who were a part of the former St. Robert and St. William Parishes here to join us so they can see how we have built a solid parish on the won- derful foundation of their work. We especially welcome the Gospel choir from St. Agnes-Our Lady of Fatima Church at the 4:00 pm Mass. Thank you for sharing your music with us.

I am very happy to announce that we have almost reached our $2,000,000 goal for the Honor our Past, Fund our Future campaign. We are at 95%! Almost there! WOW! That is all I can say! WOW! We are so BLESSED at the immense generosity of so many people. Over 500 parish families contributed to this campaign and have made a commit- ment that over the next five years they will help to fund our future. In addition, there were over 100 families who could not make a financial contribution at this time who wrote to me to assure me of their support and prayers for the parish. These were very valued as well!

If you have not made your pledge yet, there is still time; just drop it off to my attention at the parish office. If you need a pledge form, they are in the information center in the church vestibule as well as at the parish office. Yours could be the pledge that pushes us to the finish line! Get your pledge in today! In the coming months we will give a full report on the results of the campaign and the incredible sacrifices people made to make this campaign a success. I truly believe that the goals and objectives of this campaign give us much reason to hope as we work to set our parish on a course to serve ourselves as well as future generations!

I am working with the architect and Diocese facilities services to finalize the design for the new St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Center. I hope to have the final design ready in the next month or so, and then we will go to the city for all the nec- essary approvals, etc. We are hoping to break ground in January, providing we have enough cash in the bank. As stated in the meetings we will not go into any further debt to build this center. Once the center is built we will use the sec- ond half of the campaign proceeds to pay down the current debt. Our prayer and goal is to have all debt paid off by the end of 2023. A few years ago, right after the original loan papers were signed in 2012, Sr. Irene told me that the Ursuline Sis- ters always pray to St. to provide for them financially. Near the statue of St. Joseph in our St. Joseph Chapel (the former choir area) there is a candle that is always lit. That candle is a perpetual prayer for St. Joseph to provide for us and help us to reach our goal of paying down our debt by 2023.

We are entering into an exciting Sacramental time. Confirmation will be April 29 and First Communion May 5. We also have lots of weddings coming up. I love this time of year because of all the new life and excitement about our faith. Be sure to keep these young ones in your prayers.

Make it a great week! See you in Church.
