Welcome by: Alberto Passerini – SISPI, Laner Cassar – INSWDT The Conference The conference follows the one held in Malta in 2014, organised in collaboration with the Malta Depth Psychological Association. It aims to create a climate of sharing and debating of ideas between, authors, practitioners and scholars from all over the world who are interested in imaginative therapies related to the thinking of Robert Desoille (1890-1966). This conference also intends to promote the collaboration amongst different schools of thought, the development of research on the method, the setting up of an archive on waking dream therapy, the translations of several publications on the subject, the updating of the International register of practitioners of various denominations, and the organisation of an international conference in a different country every three years. The various ways of working therapuetically with waking dreams which were highlighted during the first international conference in 2014, can be grouped under three general sections: authors and groups who developed the metapsychology and the methodology of Desoille, those who use waking dreams within another theoretical orientation (Freudian, Bionian, Jungian, Psychosythethic and Gestalist...) and those who use the waking dream method as a therapeutic tool from amongst many others. The second conference centers around three broad themes namely, emerging pathologies treated with the imagination, the evolution and development of the waking dream methodolgies and specialsed applications.

It is aimed at: Doctors, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Psychotherapists, Social workers, Educators, Religious persons , other professionals from different caring and students in advanced stages of training. The first three sessions are dedicated to lectio magistralis, and will be delivered by eminent speakers who are pioneers in the field and have contributed significantly to the promotion and developemnt of the Directed Waking Dream of Desoille in different countries. There will also be a session dedicated entirely to posters which tackle different specialised research and studies from different perspectives.
