Decide the order of your preferences You should list more than one school (maximum 6). Listing only one school does not mean you will be offered a place. The order is important. List your favourite school as the first preference, then your next favourite school as your second preference and so on. Listing a school as your first preference does not increase your chance of being offered a place. Each school is given equal consideration regardless of where you list it in your preferences. The order of your preferences will only be considered if your child qualifies to be offered more than one place. This study explores various types of secondary education that are categorised under one of two generic terms - Jewish secondary education or secondary education for Jews. The former describes institutions, offered by individual Jews, which provided a blend of religious and/or secular education. The latter focuses on non-Jewish schools which accepted Jews (and some which did not but were, nevertheless, attended by Jews). Whilst this work emphasises London and its environs, other areas of Jewish residence, both major and minor, are also investigated.

The way that we live, work and learn has changed completely and many of us have faced new challenges – including the young people that are speaking tonight. They have each taken part in Jack Petchey’s “Speak Out” Challenge! – a programme which reaches over 20,000 young people a year. They have had a full day of training in communica�on skills and public speaking and have gone on to win either a Regional Final or Digital Final and earn their place here tonight. Every speaker has an important and inspiring message to share with us, and we are delighted to be able to host them at this virtual event.
