This card must be carried at all times by those 16 years or older. During the immigration examination at the port of entry (Narita International Airport, Haneda Airport), besides having a seal of landing verification stamped in their passports, mid- to long-term residents (those who are staying in Japan for more than 3 months or those with the residence status of “Professor”, “Cultural activities” or “Dependent”) will be issued with a residence card.
