We publish once a year and ask that you will keep it beside your phone for quick reference. This site will be open from Fridays to Mondays and will be closed from Tuesday to Thursdays (inclusive). Missed collections should be reported to Serviceteam on 01553 776676 before 12 noon the day after the collection was due BATCHCROFT TRUST The Thomas Batchcroft Trust was founded by Will dated 21st March 1660. The Trustees meet regu- larly to administer its affairs. The Trust’s primary objective is to provide assistance to the parishioners of Methwold. Applications for assistance are invited through regular advertisments in the Methwold Times. The Trustees also administer the allotments owned by the trust Enquiries regarding any matters related to the Trust should be directed through the Clerk to the Trustees. DAY CARE CENTRE Methwold Day Centre is run at Methwold Social Club by Age UK to give day-care to older people and people with dementia. It is open Monday to Thursday, 9am until 4.30pm supplying activities, meals and entertainment. For further information please telephone 01366 728880 or email meth- [email protected] METHWOLD COMMUNITY ACTION GROUP Methwold Community Action Group was set up after the successful Methwold Post Office project was completed. It provides help and support to newly formed community interest groups and proj- ects. Offering various support services and facilities to help them become established and flourish. New groups and projects are identified by residents of the parish to meet local needs. Contact Phill Barnes on 01366 727535 METHWOLD MARKET Methwold has boasted a market for some 1200 years. A Royal Charter granted in 1618 reintroduced the Tuesday market. A market is still held in the High Street every Monday, including Bank Holidays, starting at 10am. It is also open for viewing on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am - 12noon. For infor- mation contact Simon Reeves on 07889 827981 METHWOLD SOCIAL CLUB The Social Club is situated in the High Street. As well as social areas with a licenced bar it acts as host for many clubs, activities and sports.     THE SANDRINGHAM ROYAL ESTATE It will be noticed that no public rights of way have been claimed across land comprising the Sandringham Royal Estate. As this is a private estate of Her Majesty the Queen it was mistakenly omitted from inclusion in the original survey of the definitive map and statement due to the belief that the estate was exempt from the provisions of the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949 as Crown Land. The Sandringham Royal Estate does not in fact qualify as Crown Land as a private estate of Her Majesty the Queen. All public rights of way within the Estate have, therefore, been mistakenly excluded from this survey. DEFINITIVE STATEMENT OF PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY KING'S LYNN AND WEST NORFOLK DISTRICT PARISH OF ANMER This parish lies wholly within the Sandringham Royal Estate which is exempt from the provisions of the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act, 1949. PARISH OF BAGTHORPE-WITH-BARMER Restricted Byway No. 1 (Barmer-South Creake Road to Parish Boundary). Starts from the Barmer to South Creake Road, opposite Restricted Byway No. 2, and runs north north-westwards to the parish boundary. Restricted Byway No. 2 (Barmer-South Creake Road to Parish Boundary). Starts from the Barmer-South Creake Road and runs south eastwards for approximately 330 yards, then bears more easterly running through Manor Ling Wood to the parish boundary where it joins Syderstone Restricted Byway No. 4.     Planning Statement Former coal yard adjacent the Poplars, Thetford Road, Northwold IP26 5LW Outline application for residential development 2 Site Location and Characteristics The application seeks outline permission with only the principle and access for consideration at this stage for the proposed use of a former coal yard, now primarily used as a site for the sale and distribution of salvaged stonework and associated materials for use in landscaping projects. The stone business has now relocated to Stoke Ferry Timber, back in September. The site is almost completely cleared now although the main storage building remains in situ. The new owner has authorised the previous coal merchant to use the site for coal sales for the next few weeks while we are in full lock down again as it is considered essential. For the purposes of planning the site is now mainly vacant; the former storage building remains, but staff have been redeployed and the coal hoppers etc have been removed. The site covers an area of 0.88 hectares and is situated on land immediately north and west of Methwold Road, but served from the A134 Thetford Road. Residential properties fronting Methwold Road are located to the south eastern side of the site. Land to the north and west of the site is undeveloped, apart from a single property and residential annex at The Poplars, with a strip of former allotment land adjacent. Land opposite, on the south-western side of the Thetford Road, is farmland. The site includes a detached two storey dwelling at 1, The Poplars, the owner of which has been involved with the former coal yard and salvaged stone business since the coalyard initially ceased trading.

Apologies for Absence: Cllr John Wyett Borough Councillor Mr Colin Sampson 2. No Declarations of Interest made. It was agreed Councillors would be granted a dispensation to allow them to discuss the budget and set the precept for 2013. Dispensations granted for this purpose will remain in place until the next Parish Council elections in 2015. It was noted Disclosable Pecuniary Interest forms can be viewed on the Borough Council website and a link to the site is available from the Parish Council website. 3. The Minutes of the meeting held on 03/09/12 were agreed as a true record. 4. Matters Arising from previous meetings Lime House Drove Work was undertaken on 22/11/12 by the Highway Department to alleviate drainage problems at Lime House Drove. Planings have been laid at the entrance to the Drove to raise the ground level to allow water to run off. The Parish Council is grateful that this work has at last taken place. However, there is still concern regarding use of the lane which is a restricted byway and therefore access is for authorised vehicles only. The Parish Council has requested that appropriate signage be erected at both ends of the Drove. Some discussion took place regarding the vehicles that are using the Drove. The lane is being made impassable at the Stoke Ferry end and in places vehicular use has diverted the track.
