This site will be open from Fridays to Mondays and will be closed from Tuesday to Thursdays (inclusive). Missed collections should be reported to Serviceteam on 01553 776676 before 12 noon the day after the collection was due BATCHCROFT TRUST The Thomas Batchcroft Trust was founded by Will dated 21st March 1660. The Trustees meet regularly to administer its affairs. The Trust’s primary objective is to provide assistance to the parishioners of Methwold. Applications for assistance are invited through regular advertisments in the Methwold Times. The Trustees also administer the allotments owned by the trust Enquiries regarding any matters related to the Trust should be directed through the Clerk to the Trustees. METHWOLD DAY SUPPORT Methwold Day Support is run at Methwold Social Club by Age UK to give day-care to older people and people with dementia. It is open Monday to Thursday, 9.30am until 4.30pm supplying activities, meals and entertainment. For further information please telephone 01366 728880 or email [email protected] METHWOLD COMMUNITY ACTION GROUP Methwold Community Action Group was set up after the successful Methwold Post Office project was completed. It provides help and support to newly formed community interest groups and projects. Offering various support services and facilities to help them become established and flourish. New groups and projects are identified by residents of the parish to meet local needs. A Royal Charter granted in 1618 reintroduced the Tuesday market. A market is still held in the High Street every Monday, including Bank Holidays, starting at 10am. As well as social areas with a licenced bar it acts as host for many clubs, activities and sports.
