Greetings! This package outlines the programs being facilitated by the Central West Day Services team in both Orangeville and Brampton, and includes Special Events and Partnerships in our community! Registration, information, and contacts, are all identified. If in doubt… please contact me.

As our program continues to grow, we are excited to begin a relationship with Indus Community Ser- vices, located in Brampton. We are looking forward to using this bright and accommodating facility.

For those taking part in our Psychosocial Groups, please make sure you contact your Case Manager/ Team Leader for more information on how to register.

A warm welcome to you! My name is Ashley Budd, and I am the Day Services Coordinator, and Ombudsper- son with PHD ABIS, soon to be Mind Forward. Our Day Services programs are continuing to evolve, which makes this is a very exciting time for our organization, and most importantly ….. YOU! Registration How to Register To register, please access the Cognito form link, which will be provided to you by the Day Program Group Leader or your Senior staff. This link will allow you to register for groups of interest, and will provide you with the total amount owed for your complete registration. Once you receive your registration total, please bring in cash/ cheque in the amount owed to the Halton Day Program. If you require additional support with this process you may also consult your Case Manager or seek assistance from a Day Services team member. Please note that all groups are offered on a first come-first serve basis.

Reading & Creative Colouring @ Chinguacousy Library (Brampton) Monday January 7th, 2019—Monday March 18th, 2019 Cost: Free The group will utilize this time to read and colour in a quiet setting, allowing participants to mindfully focus on the task at hand. The participants will be given an opportunity for an open discuss about their reading material and/ or colouring experience each week.

BINGO! and Board Games Monday January 7th-Monday March 18th Cost: $10 A weekly bingo game will be held at St. Luke’s community centre. Scratch tickets will be used as prizes. On occasion, the group will try a selection of other popular card and board games.

Tea & Chat @ Chinguacousy Library Café (Brampton) Monday January 7th, 2019—Monday March 18th, 2019 Cost: Pay as you go Come meet with us each week at the Brampton Library Café – Chinguacousy Branch . Our group will get together to socialize and discuss local events, current news and happenings around the world.

Lunch Club Tuesday January 8th, 2019 —Tuesday March 19th, 2019 Cost: $5 per week Each week clients will meet at the Orangeville Day Program and prepare lunch. This group enhances engagement and social contacts, while developing functional food preparation skills.

Movie Night @ Silver City (Brampton) (every Tuesday) Tuesday January 8th, 2019—Tuesday March 19th, 2019 Cost: Pay as you go Come and join us for a fun evening at the movies every Tuesday at the Silver City Cineplex Theatre in Brampton.

Light Delights Wednesday January 2nd, 2019 - Wednesday March 19th, 2019 Fee: $5 per week Enhance your knowledge in kitchen safety, cleanliness and working with different types of ingredients. This group will focus on improving your fine motor and communication skills.

BINGO! @ Indus Community Services (Brampton) Wednesday January 2nd, 2019– Wednesday March 20th, 2019 Cost: Free Bingo is a popular game for many! If you are interested in a game of Bingo, here are few reasons you should join this group: improves hand-eye coordination, boosts cognitive abilities, and increases socialization.

Mallwalkers @ (Brampton) Wednesday January 2nd, 2019 - Wednesday March 20th, 2019 Cost: Pay as you go This group will promote physical activity as participants will be walking through the mall, and will enhance money management skills if you choose to purchase items. The group will gather at the food court for dinner each week.

Swim and Social (Brampton) Thursday January 10th, 2019 - Thursday March 7th, 2019 Cost: $73.89 Get involved in this program if you enjoy mixing up your day with gentle exercise and socializing with others. If you enjoy being in the water and want to improve or maintain your current level of activity, this is the group for you! This program includes a gentle aqua fit session as well as weekly themed activities in a relaxed setting ideal for social interaction. Requirements: Bathing suit, towel, and a packed lunch .

Avalon Activities @ The Avalon Residence Orangeville Friday January 4th, 2019 - Friday March 22nd, 2019 Cost: Free Participants will engage in various activities such as baking, arts & crafts, etc. This group promotes socialization, engage- ment and increases fine & gross motor skills.

Woodworking Friday January 4th, 2019—Friday March 22nd, 2019 Cost: $50 The woodworking program is designed to execute higher functioning skills towards self- rehabilitation in areas of both the left and right side of the brain. Each client will be able to utilize the development of their own critical thinking, logic, and reasoning skills for improved problem solving solutions through guided supervision and step by step instruction to com- plete the projecting planning task.

Special Events Friday Friday January 4th, 2019—Friday March 22nd, 2019 Cost: Free Every Friday there will be a unique special event offered, such as board games, karaoke, BINGO!, Wii tournaments, card tournaments, guest speakers, as well as the celebration of various seasonal events.
