RESEÑA El verano ya llegó y con él la programación más completa del cine de Benicássim. Tenemos sesión diaria de películas, de modo que podemos buscar más huecos en la agenda porque esto promete. Lo primero que nos ofrece el teatro esta semana esThe Trip, película inglesa sencilla, sin pretensiones, con mucho humor británico. El argumento gira en torno a un viaje de dos amigos por la campiña inglesa probando varios restaurantes para una revista. Durante una semana compartirán comida, viaje, anécdotas y sentimientos, llevando la convivencia a veces a terrenos insospechados. La idea comenzó a partir de una miniserie para televisión sobre el norte de Inglaterra, y tuvo tanto éxito que se pensó en convertirlo en película. El director Michael Winterbottom repite con los dos actores Steve Coogan y Rob Brydon haciendo de ellos mismos en esta ocasión. Los tres han coincidido tambien en Tristam Shandy y en 24 hour party people, dos películas aclamadas por la opinión especializada. En cada una de las paradas que realizan, podemos ver lo que piden en cada restaurante, lo que comen, cómo se elabora en la cocina y los ingredientes de cada plato. Un consejo, no vayáis a verla sin cenar. Zowel in formele als in informele gesprekken. Dat viel me enorm op de afgelopen maanden. Overal werd ik aangesproken over mijn masterproef. Logischerwijs door mijn eigen vrienden, maar ook op feesten van mijn ouders, op de basket van mijn vriend of door mensen die tijdens mijn werk in de horeca een gesprek wilden aanknopen. Telkens wanneer ze me vroegen naar mijn onderwerp, moest ik met wat schaamrood op de wangen vertellen dat ik een masterproef schreef over pornografie. Keer op keer kreeg ik verwarde blikken toegeworpen, gaven mensen me een geforceerd lachje of toonden ze zich opvallend bereid om mee te helpen. Om hen te overtuigen van het interessante en wetenschappelijke karakter van dit onderwerp, was ik dan ook steeds verplicht om heel wat meer uitleg te geven vooraleer ik op begrip kon rekenen. Maar ondanks de vele genante gesprekken die deze masterproef me de afgelopen maanden heeft bezorgd, ben ik heel tevreden met het onderwerp dat ik koos. Het bleek uiteindelijk nog boeiender te zijn dan verwacht. Alvorens ik aan dit eindwerk begon, had ik er geen idee van dat pornografie al zoveel discussie, opschudding en verscheidenheid aan opinies had teweeggebracht.

Denne gang sætter det spanske køkken rammen omkring en munter og lettere bidsk rejse udi karrierens og kærlighedens genvordigheder. Mon ikke det også fyger om sig med sjove jokes og et par parodier eller tre... fire...? Steve har nu rundet det skarpe 50'er-hjørne og er stadig på jagt efter kærligheden. Han vil gerne finde sammen med sin ex-kæreste Mischa, men hun er optaget af en anden mand. Der er fuld fart på Robs skuespillerkarriere og familielivet kunne ikke være bedre. Han har fået endnu et barn, siden Steve så ham sidst. Steve er netop begyndt som kok i en amerikansk tv-serie og er blevet bedt om at lave nogle madanmeldelser i Spanien som reklame for serien. Som sædvanlig skriver Rob avisartiklerne og bruger denne gang Don Quixote som inspiration. Imens håber Steve på at skrive en mere ambitiøs bog baseret på turen og hans tidligere oplevelser i Spanien. Han ser sig selv i fodsporet på forfatterskaber som Orwell, Hemingway og Laurie Lee.

PETERLOO Un film di Mike Leigh INTRODUZIONE AL FILM Un ritratto epico degli eventi legati ai fatti di Peterloo, quando nel 1819 un pacifico raduno pro-democrazia riunitosi presso St Peter's Fields a Manchester si trasforma in uno degli episodi più sanguinosi e tristemente noti della storia britannica. Una folla di oltre 60.000 persone radunate per richiedere riforme politiche e per protestare contro i crescenti livelli di povertà viene attaccata dalle forze governative. Molti manifestanti furono uccisi e centinaia rimasero feriti, dando vita a proteste in tutta la nazione, ma anche a nuove repressioni da parte del governo.
