Roath Lock, is the BBC's state of the art centre of excellence for Drama, a place brimming with new energy and talent. When the first productions moved into Roath Lock in September 2011, they fulfilled a BBC commitment to create a centre of excellence for Drama in Cardiff.

Located in , , the 170,000 square foot facility, including nine studios and equivalent in length to three football pitches, is now the permanent, purpose-built home of four flagship BBC dramas - , , - as well as new productions in the future.

Job Description

You will need to work closely with production teams and be required to take an active role in the post production process; be required to assist with the technical quality of our output as well as demonstrating a keen interest in film, video and technology.

Having an awareness of basic editing techniques and post production processes would be an advantage.

You also need to demonstrate a positive and committed attitude and a strong desire to learn since the hours are long and the job can involve long periods working away from home.

Framework

Whilst working for BBC you will be completing a 12-month Level 3 Apprenticeship in Creative and Digital Media.

Wage

The exact salary for this role is TBC. The minimum an apprentice will receive is the National Minimum Apprentice Allowance, which is £3.30 per hour for the first 12 months of the apprenticeship. Those aged 19 years or over will be eligible for at least the National Minimum Wage for their age group once their first 12 months as an Apprentice has been completed.
