FIDEM, the International Art Medal Federation, was established in 1937. Its aims are to promote and diffuse the art of medals at international level, to make the art known and to guarantee recognition of its place among other arts by increasing awareness of the art, history and technology of art medals, mainly through publications and the organisation of international events. FIDEM also organises a congress every two years and an international exhibition of the art of medals in order to promote exchanges among artists and to make their work known internationally. FIDEM operates in over 40 countries worldwide. It is represented by a delegate and a vice-delegate in every country, who maintain regular contact with the artists, FIDEM members and other people interested in the art of medals from their own country. FIDEM publishes the magazine Médailles, which contains information on FIDEM activities and the minutes of each congress. Members receive this free of charge.     Tudor Place Manuscript Collection Paul Wayland Bartlett Papers MS-19 Introduction Paul Wayland Bartlett (1865-1925) was the third husband of Suzanne (Earle) Ogden-Jones Emmons Bartlett (1862-1954), the mother of Caroline (Ogden-Jones) Peter (1894-1965), wife of Armistead Peter 3rd (1896-1983) of Tudor Place. Suzanne (Earle) Ogden-Jones Emmons Bartlett retained all of her third husband’s papers and acted as his artistic executrix, organizing exhibitions of his work and casting some of his pieces to raise money for a memorial studio. Suzanne (Earle) Ogden-Jones Emmons Bartlett gave the bulk of her husband’s papers to the Library of Congress, but correspondence from Paul Wayland Bartlett’s father Truman Howe Bartlett (1835-1922), fellow artists, and business correspondence regarding various commissions, bills and receipts, news clippings, and printed material remained in her possession. This material spans the years 1887-1925, primarily between 1899 and 1920. Caroline (Ogden-Jones) Peter gave numerous pieces of her stepfather’s sculpture to museums around the country; the remaining papers and works of art were left at her death to her husband Armistead Peter 3rd. These papers were a part of the estate Armistead Peter placed under the auspices of the Carostead Foundation, Incorporated, in 1966; the name of the foundation was changed to Tudor Place Foundation, Incorporated, in 1987. Use and rights of the papers are controlled by the Foundation. The collection was processed by Anne Webb, the Foundation's archivist, and James Kaser, a project archivist hired through a National Historical Publications and Records Commission grant in 1992.

This policy aims at the strengthening and development of the state system and the protection of the national interests of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan builds its foreign policy on the principle of respect to the international legal standards and norms, the state sovereignty and territorial integrity and the principles of nonintervention into the internal affairs. The foreign policy of Azerbaijan, adhering to these principles and speaking on behalf of the national interests targets such urgent issues as the risks and challenges to the national security and territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of the republic and the prevention of the intervention of the Republic of Armenia. The major priorities of the foreign policy of Azerbaijan are the establishment of the regional peace and stability, the implementation of large transport and cooperation projects. The attraction of the foreign capital to the implementation of different projects on the development of the country's economics for more effective protection of the national interests plays a great role in the foreign policy of Azerbaijan in the present-day world.
