PHILIPPINES DELIGHTS 12 DAYS / 11 NIGHTS Hills that look like perfect mounds of chocolate, primates so small they fit comfortably in the palm of your hand, restaurants that float gently down a river, breathtaking beaches. Welcome to the Philippines! ITINERARY DAY 1 MANILA Arrive in Manila, capital of the Philippine. You will be met by our local representative and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure DAY 2 MANILA Discover the “Charms of Old Manila”. Depart to the historic Rizal Park where the remains of the country’s national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, lie within the cornerstone of Rizal Monument. Continue to the walled city of Intramuros built during the Spanish colonial period. The first stop is Fort Santiago which served as headquarters of the military. Pass the San Agustin Church; the oldest structure in the country which dates back to 1571 and next stop is at Casa Manila, a reconstructed mansion replete with furniture and furnishings from centuries ago. Visit Baluarte De San Diego, located along the walls of Intramuros. The other half of Manila is a modern metropolis. The first stop is the Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex, a reclaimed land situated along Roxas Boulevard, reminiscent of the glorious years of the Marcos’s. The drive starts with a glance of the fountain-adorned Cultural Center of the Philippines. Then move on to the Philippine International Convention Center and Folk Arts Theater which are favorite venues for both local and international events. Adjacent to the structures are the Coconut Palace, a building made mostly of coconut materials and Westin Philippine Plaza, a deluxe hotel with a magnificent view of Manila Bay. Proceed to the financial and commercial center of Makati, passing through the plush residential village of Forbes Park dubbed as “Millionaire’s Row.” Next stop, the Ayala Museum, it is an art and history museum located at the corner of Makati Avenue and De la Rosa Street in Makati City. It is considered one of the most important private institutions of Philippine art and culture. The last stop is the American Memorial Cemetery, the largest and most beautiful outside continental U.S. (B/L) DAY 3 MANILA – CEBU Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cebu. Arrive and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the beach. (B) DAY 4 CEBU – BOHOL – TAGBILARAN - CEBU This is a full day tour to the scenic countryside of Bohol, a showcase of history, culture and nature in one destination. Depart by ferry to reach Bohol. Visit the Blood Compact Shrine, view the Spanish architectural design of the centuries-old church in Loboc and Baclayon. Proceed to the mystical beauty of the 1,277 cone shaped Chocolate Hills in Carmen, passing through the Mahogany Man-Made Bilar Forest. Take a glimpse of the small cottage industries in Loay. En route back, take a one (1) hour river cruise with lunch on a floating restaurant. After the cruise proceed to see the oldest living mammal and the smallest primate – the TARSIER, recorded in GUINNESS BOOK OF RECORDS. Shop for native products and delicacies and afterwards, depart from Tagbilaran to Cebu. (B/L) DAY 5 CEBU A full day is at leisure to explore this cultural and historical city. (B) DAY 6 CEBU – BORACAY Transfer to the airport for your flight to Boracay (Caticlan). Arrive in Caticlan and transfer by boat to Boracay Island. Transfer to your hotel. Enjoy paradise! (B) DAYS 7-10 BORACAY Enjoy four full days at leisure to explore the beauty of Boracay. (B) DAY 11 BORACAY - MANILA Transfer by boat to Caticlan for your flight to Manila. Arrive in Manila and transfer to your hotel for your last night in the Philippines. (B) DAY 12 MANILA Transfer to the airport.
