My wife chris has just completed the major part of her treatment for cancer which occurred last year, and which curtailed all our overseas travelling in 2016. she is looking forward to making up for it this year; thanks to all those who have been supportive and sent good wishes. this is a busy time of year for chris and i, as we are volunteers for other groups such as caMra (campaign for real ale), where we help organise and run several large beer and cider festivals, and plan and participate in walks for several walking groups in the ribble Valley spread over lancashire and yorkshire. With the cold and inclement weather in the uK it was nice to be inside, preparing over 700 beers and ciders for the 15,000 delegates who attended the Manchester central exhibition centre (gMeX) over three days last week. real ale and craft beers are in the ascendency with many discerning customers. Matching speciality beers with food is becoming ever more popular at some top restaurants. member, who has returned to work in Valencia, they already have gathered 25+ members. We will wish them well, and look people have so many choices these days that we have to work forward to future visits.

    Testo originale 0.916.026.81 Accordo tra la Confederazione Svizzera e la Comunità europea sul commercio di prodotti agricoli Concluso il 21 giugno 1999 Approvato dall’Assemblea federale l’8 ottobre 19991 Ratificato con strumenti depositati il 16 ottobre 2000 Entrato in vigore il 1° giugno 2002 (Stato 1° dicembre 2009) La Confederazione Svizzera, di seguito denominata « la Svizzera», da un lato, e La Comunità europea, di seguito denominata «la Comunità », dall’altro, di seguito denominate «le Parti», risolute ad eliminare gradualmente gli ostacoli alla parte essenziale dei loro scambi, conformemente alle disposizioni dell’Accordo che istituisce l’Organizzazione mon- diale del commercio concernenti la creazione di zone di libero scambio, considerando che, all’articolo 15 dell’Accordo di libero scambio del 22 luglio 19722, le Parti si sono dichiarate pronte a favorire, nel rispetto delle loro politiche agricole, l’armonioso sviluppo degli scambi dei prodotti agricoli ai quali non si applica l’Accordo, hanno convenuto quanto segue: Art. 1 Obiettivo 1. Il presente Accordo ha come scopo di consolidare le relazioni di libero scambio tra le Parti attraverso un migliore accesso al mercato dei prodotti agricoli di ciascuna di esse. 2. Per «prodotti agricoli» si intendono i prodotti elencati ai capitoli 1–24 della Convenzione internazionale sul sistema armonizzato di designazione e di codifica- zione delle merci3. Ai fini dell’applicazione degli allegati 1–3 del presente Accordo, sono esclusi i prodotti del capitolo 3 e delle voci 16.04 e 16.05 del sistema armoniz- zato, nonché i prodotti dei codici NC 05119110, 05119190, 19022010 e 23012000.

    L 136/2 EN Official Journal of the European Union 30.5.2009 AGREEMENT between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation amending the Agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on trade in agricultural products THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITY, hereinafter referred to as ‘the Community’, and THE SWISS CONFEDERATION, hereinafter referred to as ‘Switzerland’, hereinafter together referred to as ‘the Parties’, WHEREAS the Agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on trade in agricultural products, hereinafter referred to as ‘the Agreement’, entered into force on 1 June 2002. WHEREAS Article 6 of the Agreement sets up a Joint Committee on Agriculture, which is responsible for the administration of the Agreement and its good functioning, hereinafter referred to as ‘the Committee’. WHEREAS Article 11, in conjunction with Article 5(2), lays down that the Committee may decide to amend Annexes 1 and 2 and the Appendices to the other Annexes, other than Annexe 11. Since the entry into force of the Agreement, the Committee has decided on a number of amendments for administering the Annexes to the Agreement and their Appendices, particularly in order to take account of the updates and adjustments required to deepen bilateral relations as provided for by the Agreement. WHEREAS certain updates and adjustments required in order to take account of the evolution of Community and Swiss laws go beyond the empowerment granted to the Committee. It is therefore necessary to modify the Annexes to the Agreement and to extend the empowerment of the Committee by replacing Article 11, in order to facilitate further updates and adjustments to the Annexes to the Agreement.
