PROCLAMATION NOTICE OF ELECTION

Pursuant to the Primary Election Laws of the State of New Mexico, I, Harriett K. Becenti, Clerk of McKinley County, by virtue of the authority vested in me, do hereby issue the following Proclamation:

A. That a Primary Election be, and the same is hereby called to be, held throughout the State of New Mexico and in each county and precinct thereof, on the 2nd day of June 2020.

B. That the Primary Election shall be applicable to the following political parties, to wit: the Democratic Party, Libertarian Party and Republican Party.

C. That the Primary Election shall be for the purpose of permitting the Democratic Party, the Republican Party and Libertarian Party to nominate candidates for the following offices:

In Response and Aid of slowing and stopping the spread of the COVID-19 Pandemic, McKinley County Bureau of Elections has Consolidated (18) Traditional /Rural Precincts to be added to existing Polling sites for the June 2020 Primary Election. This change allows us to use locations with more space to spread out for voter and poll worker protection; and, helps us maintain the appropriate staff to operate polling sites.
