Summary Most Expensive Sales The number of apartment sales greatly increased in the four weeks leading up to July 1, while the average sale price dropped slightly. There were 1,150 residential closings, a substantial uptick from the 876 closings in the prior month. The average sale price for an apartment— taking into account both condo and co-op sales—was $1.8 million, down from $1.9 million in the preceding month.
