[email protected] Abstract The CDIO Initiative is an international collaboration of over 50 universities and colleges working with the shared objective of improving the education of engineering students. Drawing on extensive stakeholder and alumni surveys, the group has produced a comprehensive syllabus and a set of standards which provide a description of the level of knowledge, skills and professional attributes that graduates of engineering programmes should be expected to acquire.
