Brett Magnus recorded his third Atlantic Hockey Saturday, February 17 Goalie of The Week honor as SHU earned the weekend sweep over Niagara. Holy Cross at AIC - 2:05 p.m. Clare led the team with four assists and a plus-five rating while Magnus RIT at Sacred Heart - 7:05 p.m. stopped 51saves with a .927 save percentage. Army West Point at Bentley - 7:05 p.m. Mercyhurst at Robert Morris - 7:05 p.m. Bavaro Breakout... Vito Bavaro has had a breakout sophomore campaign, Canisius at Air Force - 7:05 p.m. recording double digit goals (14) and assists (12) to lead the team with 26 points. His .90 points per game average ranks 16th among the leagues top Sunday, February 18 scorers. Bavaro has doubled his goal total from a season ago with his 14th two weeks ago against RMU and recorded his fifth multi-point game of the RIT at Sacred Heart - 3:05 p.m. season with a pair of assists to secure the series sweep over Niagara this past 2017-18 Atlantic Hockey Preseason Poll Saturday. 1. (April 12, 2019) – Air Force forward Kyle Haak has been selected as the 2018-19 Senior CLASS Award® winner for NCAA® Division I men’s hockey. The award, chosen by a nationwide vote of Division I men’s hockey coaches, national hockey media and fans, is given annually to the most outstanding senior student-athlete in Division I men’s hockey. Haak is the second student-athlete from Air Force to win the Senior CLASS Award for men’s hockey after Jacques Lamoureux in 2011. An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School®, the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: classroom, community, character and competition. “I am extremely humbled by this award because of all the incredible accomplishments of the other candidates and amazing hockey players who have been a part of this award in the past," said Haak.
