63521 Franklin Tidebond Glue

Franklin Tidebond Wood Glue, the original aliphatic resin glue, has been used by leading furniture manufacturers, craftsmen and do-it-yourselfers for more than 30 years. It is one of the most trusted names in the industry. Compared to ordinary white glues, it offers superior heat resistance, sandability, solvent resistance and wet tack.

Type: Aliphatic resin State: Liquid Color: Cream Dried film: Translucent Solids: 46 % pH: 4.6 Viscosity: 3200 cps Weight per gallon: 9.2 lbs Chalk temperature 1): 35°F (2°C) Freeze/thaw stability 2): Passes 5 cycles at 0°F (-20°C) Storage life: Over 12 months in tightly closed containers at 75°F (24°C)

1) Chalk temperature indicates the lowest temperature at which the glue, the gluing surfaces or the air may be to assure a good bond. 2) Although the glue may be thickened by freezing and thawing, agitation will usually restore it to usable viscosity.

Use temperature: Above 40°F (4°C). Maximum assembly time at 70°F (21°C): - closed assembly 15 minutes - open assembly 5 minutes

Minimum required spread: 40 lbs per 1000 sq.ft. of glue line Required clamping pressure: Enough to bring joints tightly together (e.g., 150 psi for ).

Clean-up: Damp cloth while glue is wet. Scrape off dried excess. Normal laundering for affected clothing

It creates a joint stronger than the wood itself.

Some of its other features: - High heat resistance and excellent sandability. - Excellent solvent resistance. - Great versatility: can be used on wood, hardboard, high pressure laminates, , leather, supported vinyl, cloth, paper and almost any other porous material. (Note: it is not formulated for exterior use or wherever waterproof glues are required).

Not harmed by freezing. Should it be delivered frozen, it will recover its normal liquidity if kept in a warm place. (NOTE: Numerous cycles of freeze-and-thaw tend to increase the viscosity of the glue. It is recommended that Franklin Tidebond Wood Glue not be stored for extended periods at temperatures lower than 40°F (4°C)).
