I want to thank our Laura Isley donors and volunteers for making 2016 such Lee Ann Kennedy a successful year. Together, we provided diapers for Marshall Lamb 4,000 children in Wake County whose parents could Kate Rivers not afford them. More than 100 guests gathered at Shuckers on Glenwood for a low-country boil, bluegrass music with Counterclockwise and a raffle for a trip. Winners Michele and Scott Murphy will be going to Whistler, Canada. The event raised $30,000! We are grateful to our sponsors and supporters for their contributions. NC Legislative Staff The Diaper Train at Saint Saviour’s Center is 6 years Cary High School Red Hat old and growing. In 2011 we provided 65,000 diapers Christ Church St. Francis Chatholic to low-income families. Now, we provide 65,000 a CT Weekends Church month! Diaper Train recipient Healthy Living for Seniors By the Rev. David Lynch, Chaplain 2016 was a great year for the seniors in our program. The Walking Group was a rousing success! For six weeks, three times each week, residents from both Carriage House and Glenwood Towers made their way around the designated route. The pace varied from brisk to leisurely, depending upon the ability of each walker. It was good exercise as well as a positive, unifying community experience. In the spring and fall we held a Memorial/ Healing Service to celebrate the lives of those residents, family and friends who had died. Lovely receptions, provided by service organizations from Christ Church and White Memorial Presbyterian Church, followed each service.
