2 VALVE Valve Inspection And Replacement

 The O-Ring seal and valve extension must be checked and inspected when a new tire is changed  Lock the valve in position. The valve cap is the primary air seal, and must always be fitted correctly  Inspect O-Ring seal • If the temperature is high, the O-Ring seal will harden and age.

3 How To Ensure Your Assembly Is Air Tight?

Please remember that the valve, O-Ring seal, and valve caps must always be fitted correctly.

 Ensure valve core is correctly seated and tightened  Inspect (and if necessary change) the O-Ring seal at the base of the valve  Tighten the valve extension in line with makers specification

Effect Of Air Pressure On Tire Performance

Under-inflated tyres are one of the biggest causes of using excess fuel. Under-inflated tyres have higher , which means that it takes more effort from the engine to move your vehicle.

7 How To Ensure The Longest Mileage Life Of Giti ?

±15psi = -10% mileage

Determine the standard pressure that is suitable for the vehicle’s application and terrain conditions - find out more from Giti TBR Service Centre

Mileage loss  If a tire is 20% under-inflated, will cause a 19% loss of tire mileage  If a tire is 20% over-inflated, will cause a 22% loss of tire mileage

8 TIRE BALANCING

20 the weight of 700g 155 160

150 the weight of 500g 110 95 100 100 the weight 68 67 of 300g disturbing force ( kgs ) disturbing force 50 40

Speed (km/h) 50 70 90 110

Higher operation speed causes a greater disturbing force on tire balancing

9 How To Make Driving More Comfortable?

The benefits of a standard balance

 Ensures longer tire life  Reduces mechanical wear  Improves driving comfort  Reduces vehicle vibration  Reduces light bulb failure 10

11 How To Increase Tire Life By 20%?

Tire Rotation

6.5 5.5 5.5 5.0 5.5 3.5 2.5 1.6

Proper tire rotation can extend tire life by 20%

Due to concerns of damage to the tire shoulder and bead in heavy duty transport, proper tire rotation can extend the service life of tires. In dual tire use, weight on inside tire is relatively big generally - and heat absorbed from brake drum is relatively high, due to less ventilation.

 Proper alignment is necessary for even tread wear and precise steering.  1 degree of misalignment will have the mechanical effect of dragging the tire sideways 7 meters for each 1km travelled.

15 How To Maintain The Normal Life Of The Tire?

Affects On Tire Life

Proper alignment can help avoid irregular tire wear

16 TIRE BASICS

• It is not recommended to use radial tires and bias tires on the same vehicle. If it is necessary to use it in a combination, the radial tires should be limited to the drive axle.

• When the tread patterns are different, the same pattern should be used on the same axle – so the left and right tires must be symmetrical.

17 • The maximum tread depth difference for tires in twinned formation is 2.5mm.

• There must be no tire tread depth less than 1.6mm at any point during driving, as this affects brake safety and may contravene regulation.

• Different brands, different sizes, or different load indexes of tires is not recommended to be mixed on the same vehicle, as this can easily lead to difficulty in vehicle handling.
