Congress organized by our friends from the Greek Softball Federation in Athens in February. The WBSC Europe’s interim Executive Committee was established and has started to work on the next steps of the development of our new continental body. Although we showed a continuous will to build the future of European Baseball and Softball in the cradle of the Olympics, Paris 2024 quickly denied

  • Your Logistics… Our Core Business…!
Your Logistics… our core business…! Newsletter July 2011 Base Logistics looks back at the World Port Tournament Base Logistics was the official shirt sponsor of the Dutch Baseball Team during the World Port Tournament in Rotterdam that took place from 23 June to 3 July. Competing for the title at the event were Germany, Taiwan, Curaçao and Cuba, as well as the Netherlands. The host nation failed to make it to the finals, unfortunately, leaving Taiwan and Cuba to battle it out. It was Taiwan who eventually triumphed, in the tiebreak, to take the thirteenth World Port Tournament title. Even though the team from the Netherlands did not manage to claim the number one spot, we can nevertheless look back on a very successful event. A number of impressions from the tournament are given below. In addition to the World Port Tournament, Base Logistics also sponsors the Confederation of European Baseball. As a provider of logistics services, we are pleased to be able to assist in the distribution of baseball materials in Europe. For more information, please click here. Twitter Base Logistics As a leading provider of logistics services with a focus on innovation, Base Logistics is, naturally enough, on Twitter. Why not follow us: @BaseLogistics or http://twitter.com/#!/BaseLogistics. Klairy In spite of the fact that Klairy, our new logistics management tool, represents a total solution for many of our customers and business relations when it comes to managing their logistics, it is still being improved further. Several recent additions to the system include a complete On Time Performance report, various management reports and an enhanced print menu for labels and CMRs.

LINE DRIVES THE NATIONAL COLLEGIATE BASEBALL WRITERS NEWSLETTER (Volume 46, No. 4, June 27, 2007) The President’s Message By NCBWA President Michael “Mex” Carey Membership: Our annual NCBWA meeting will be held in conjunction with the 50th annual CoSIDA national workshop in San Diego on Saturday, June 30, from 5-6 p.m. (PDT) at the San Diego Marriott Marina. Location is Marriott Hall, Salon 2, at the headquarters hotel. We just completed the most exciting time of the year and congratulate Oregon State for its impressive run to a second straight College World Series title. The NCAA Regionals were among the most exciting in recent years, with teams like Michigan and Louisville making surprising runs to the Super Regionals. We also capped off the NCBWA honors’ candidates and pitcher David Price won the coveted 21st annual Dick Howser Trophy. CSTV.com still has streamed video and audio of the presentation online, and the national cable network CSTV chose the Dick Howser Trophy presentation as its “Coca Cola College Sports Event of the Day” on Saturday, June 16. CSTV host Carter Blackburn had several taped cut-in interviews on June 16 with Price and Vandy head coach Tim Corbin. ESPN also spotted Price at the NCAA World Series on June 15 and highlighted the Howser Trophy and his achievements. On a personal note, this has been a tremendous experience to work with the NCBWA this year. The work done behind the scenes by folks like Russ Anderson, Bo Carter and Mike Montoro make this organization run, and make people have a greater appreciation for the college game.
