GIBRALTAR AUTUMN FESTIVAL 2007

34th INTERNATIONAL ART EXHIBITION

The International Art Exhibition, organised by the Ministry of Culture in association with the Fine Arts Association, is being held at the Casemates Exhibition Galleries. The Minister for Culture, The Hon Edwin Reyes officially opened the Exhibition and presented the awards on Tuesday 6th November 2007.

One hundred and twenty-five artists have submitted a total of two hundred and twenty-five works. Mr Chris Orr, Royal Academician carried out the adjudication.

The Prize winners are: - Title

Commenting at the Official Opening of the International Art Exhibition, the Hon Edwin Reyes said:

“It is my pleasure and privilege to welcome you to the 34th edition of the Gibraltar International Art Exhibition. In addition, I would like to convey my gratitude to the Director and Staff at the Ministry of Culture and of course the Adjudicator Professor Chris Orr, together with all those individuals who have in any way helped to make this important event a reality and success.

I would also like to express my most sincere thanks to all participants and visitors for helping ensure that this Exhibition – even if sometimes challenging but always impressive – continues to be an important feature of our cultural calendar.”

The Exhibition will be open to the public until the 16th November 2007 between 10am and 6pm on weekdays and 10am to 1pm on Saturday. Entrance is free.
