During the course of the study, the survey team's postsecondary specialist visited community college campuses and centers for continuing education throughout the Pacific rim, including the Republic of the Marshall Islands, the FSK, and the Republic of Palau, the three nations which maintain a treaty operating the College of Micronesia's multi-campus sites. During these visits, over 102 people were interviewed, including college administrators, teachers, students, state government officials, national government officials, and and off-island educators. Areas examined by the study included financing of current postsecondary programs including community college funding, scholarships, and Pell grants. Also examined were interviewee concerns and observations regarding eight basic issues for the FSK, including the three nation treaty, college governance, the predominant role of foreigners in skilled occupations, the need for and financing of a four-year institution, and private sector economic development. -

Rebuilding the Soul: Churches and Religion in Bavaria, 1945-1960
REBUILDING THE SOUL: CHURCHES AND RELIGION IN BAVARIA, 1945-1960 _________________________________________________ A Dissertation presented to the Faculty of the Graduate School at the University of Missouri-Columbia _________________________________________________ In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree Doctor of Philosophy _________________________________________________ by JOEL DAVIS Dr. Jonathan Sperber, Dissertation Supervisor MAY 2007 © Copyright by Joel Davis 2007 All Rights Reserved The undersigned, appointed by the dean of the Graduate School, have examined the dissertation entitled REBUILDING THE SOUL: CHURCHES AND RELIGION IN BAVARIA, 1945-1960 presented by Joel Davis, a candidate for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy, and hereby certify that, in their opinion, it is worthy of acceptance. __________________________________ Prof. Jonathan Sperber __________________________________ Prof. John Frymire __________________________________ Prof. Richard Bienvenu __________________________________ Prof. John Wigger __________________________________ Prof. Roger Cook ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS I owe thanks to a number of individuals and institutions whose help, guidance, support, and friendship made the research and writing of this dissertation possible. Two grants from the German Academic Exchange Service allowed me to spend considerable time in Germany. The first enabled me to attend a summer seminar at the Universität Regensburg. This experience greatly improved my German language skills and kindled my deep love of Bavaria. The second allowed me to spend a year in various archives throughout Bavaria collecting the raw material that serves as the basis for this dissertation. For this support, I am eternally grateful. The generosity of the German Academic Exchange Service is matched only by that of the German Historical Institute. The GHI funded two short-term trips to Germany that proved critically important. -

The wine is an impression of our ideas and a presentation of our winemaking style. Our goal is to find a harmony between what we’ve learned through our own personal experience and knowledge about winemaking, and the passed-down wisdom from our family who’ve had this land for more than 150 years. Even though we come from a small winery who has supported and helped us to begin, we’re now standing at the precipice of our own journey as winemakers. While we’ve received great reviews from wine critics; our main purpose is to please you, our customer. We are waiting anxiously to hear your thoughts about our wine, we hope it is as enjoyable to drink as it was for us to create. Wishing you all the very best, Philipp and Johanna Bossert EINE OUR CLASSIFICATION E W S R T A T U C G E H 80 H L PRO IN EINE E E E W E W N S R R A E T A T T R G C A C O E L E H H 6 4 0 H RO 0 HL PRO L P OUR WINE Everything we produce, we produce with the implicit intention of great wine. -

Updates are made annually. Prices for OSD Common Facilities, Area Cost Factors, escalation rates, and the size adjustment curve are from UFC 3-701-07, DoD Facility Pricing Guide. Data for AF Unique Facility Costs, Supporting Facility Costs, and Supporting Facility Percentages are from AF Historical data in the Program, ACES system, DD Forms 1391, the Parametric Cost Engineering System (PACES); or from detailed quantity take- off estimates from typical designs. The historical costs are carefully purged to ensure the correct data is listed. Projects with unusual costs often turn out to be additions, alterations, or add/alter projects and are not used in the database. Other reasons include bidding climate, special design features included that are not normally used on an average facility, or unique conditions at a certain location. Facilities with no historical database are listed as "USER" facility types in the category code listing. -
