Communications TCDSB Staff Arts Production: Department 80 Sheppard Avenue East Seussical North York, Ontario M2N 6E8 Members of the community are invited to attend the Staff Arts production, Seussical, a musical based on the stories of Dr. Seuss. Media Contact: Mary Jo Deighan Performances will take place in the theatre at Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts and Co-ordinator begin at 7:30 p.m. on May 30th, 31st, June 5th , 6th, and 7th with a matinee performance at Communications, Public and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 1st. All performances take place in the theatre at Cardinal Media Relations Carter Academy for the Arts, located at 36 Greenfield Ave., North York. [email protected] Seussical incorporates bits and pieces of at least 14 Seuss classics, including Horton Hears Information: a Who, Horton Hatches the Egg, Gertrude McFuzz, The Butter Battle Book, If I Ran the Staff Arts Circus, McElligott's Pool, I Had Trouble in Getting to Solla Sollew and of course, The Cat 416-222-8282 Ext. ARTS in the Hat!! The main story involves Horton the Elephant's efforts to save his friend Jojo (2787) and the other inhabitants on Who, despite trials and tribulations only Dr. Seuss could dream up! Horton is a determined, loyal and faithful friend who holds on to his beliefs and keeps his promises. A wonderful show for adults and children alike, this year’s production is directed by Mirella Rossi, with musical direction by Roger Richard and Vince Gassi. TCDSB Staff Arts is a unique theatre company, comprised entirely of TCDSB staff and former staff. Staff Arts has a 29-year history of providing audiences with professional musical productions as well as an annual Christmas Concert and play. The purpose of TCDSB Staff Arts is to promote the Arts and Arts Education by providing performance and related production opportunities to all staff of the Toronto Catholic District School Board.
