Caring, helpful and generous; that describes the parishioners of St. Robert Bellar- mine. We thank in a special way the 149 generous families and individuals who made a pledge to the 2021 Annual Catholic Appeal and helped to make our recent In-Pew weekend a great success.

If you were not able to make a pledge, we are asking each family to con- sider making a tax-deductible gift today. It is our hope for this appeal to receive a prayerful gift no matter the amount from every family so that we can reach and exceed our goal! Every dollar above our goal comes back to us to fund our parish needs.

You may also make your gift online now at annualcatholicappeal.org or text ACA to 917-336-1255 or call 718-965-7375 ext. 1602 and have a pledge card mailed to your home. You can also point your camera at the qr code below and follow the link that pops up.

1. On May 19th, 2021 many restrictions will be lifted in NYS regarding occupancy limits. This will include churches. The occupancy of a Church is now 100%. However, social distancing is still required. Six feet should be maintained between individuals and house- holds sitting together. This effectively means that 100% capacity is unrealistic; however, it allows for some more flexibility. 2 .The wearing of masks is to be continued. 3. There is no exchange of peace using handshakes and no common Communion cups. Receiving Holy Communion in the hand is still encouraged as the saf- er way to receive. Priests concelebrating Mass should still receive by intinction. 4. Hand disinfecting for both the congregation and the clergy, especially before Holy Communion is still required. 5. Holy water fonts should not be filled as yet. This refers to Holy Water which remains in receptacles and is shared by everyone. Holy Water can be made available to parishioners in prepared bottles or in Holy Water dispensers. 6. Bulletins and other printed materials may be dis- tributed but people should be reminded not to leave them behind when they leave Church. 7.Missalettes should still not be put out in Church. 8. Processions may resume for liturgies. 9. Altar servers are permitted; however they must be trained in the safety protocol s, such as maintaining social distancing and mask waring as well as the dis- infecting of hands. 10. Lectors can resume reading from the main ambo in the Church. 11. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion should continue to follow hand sanitizing protocols before and after district of Holy Communion. 12. Choirs can resume singing at liturgies. Social dis- tancing and mask wearing should be maintained. 13.Parish groups such as seniors groups can meet with safety precautions in place, especially if people are vaccinated. 14. CYO and other indoor sports programs are still suspended until further notice.
