He directed the first major revival of John Guare's SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION at the Old Vic, starring Lesley Manville and Anthony Head, in 2010. On Broadway, In 2009, he directed THE PHILANTHROPIST by Christopher Hampton starring Matthew Broderick and THE AMERICAN PLAN by Richard Greenberg starring Mercedes Ruehl. That year, he also directed A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Canada. In the summer of 2011, David returned to the Stratford Shakespeare Festival to direct THE MISANTHROPE.
