Due to this overwhelming fan response, additional concerts have been confirmed in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Las Vegas, Toronto as well as at New York’s Citi Field and Boston’s Fenway Park. Additional sold out shows confirmed in Vancouver, Edmonton, Tacoma, San Francisco, Sacramento, Omaha, St. Paul, Cleveland, Chicago and Montreal. The epic demand for Gaga in North America mirrors the popularity of the Joanne World Tour across the pond in Europe where tickets went on sale Friday, February 10th in Barcelona, Paris, Zurich, Hamburg, Berlin, Cologne, London, Birmingham and Manchester. Immediate sell outs were reported in Barcelona, Paris, London and Birmingham and second shows were promptly added in both London and Paris. The second Paris show was also an immediate sellout. Today, with sale continuing in Milan, Antwerp, Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Stockolm, Live Nation has also confirmed sold out dates in Manchester, Milan, Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Stockholm. Fans should be aware there is limited ticket availability at the remaining European venues. Grammy and Golden Globe winner and Academy Award-nominated Lady Gaga is a one-of-a kind artist and performer. She has amassed an outstanding 30 million global album sales and 150 million single sales, making her one of the best-selling musicians of all time. Gaga is also one of the biggest forces in social media with over 61 million likes on Facebook, over 65.1 million followers on Twitter and over 21.3 million followers on Instagram. Her fifth studio album “Joanne” was recently released and debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200, marking her 4th consecutive #1 album - the first female to do so in the 2010s. Gaga will be traveling the globe with the Joanne World Tour starting on August 1st in Vancouver, BC and September 22nd in Barcelona. She will perform the concert dates throughout Europe and the UK before returning to North America in November and December this year.     Recensie: Clouseau Party Concert 2*** Sportpaleis Merksem donderdag 31 december 2009 foto © Bert Noble Recensie: Een ontzettend uitgelaten sfeer hangt er in het Sportpaleis. Zo'n 5000 man was naar de concerttempel afgezakt om het drie uur durende optreden van Clouseau en Natalia bij te wonen. Zo wilden ze het eerste decennium van het nieuwe millennium afsluiten en meteen het tweede inzetten. Clouseau begon sterk met Swentibold en werd – gelukkig – speciaal voor dit optreden opnieuw begeleid door de Heavy Horns. De twee trompettisten, trombonist en 3 saxofonisten maken de nummers van Clouseau extra feestelijk. Ze zorgen voor een funky en groovy toets. Nu beseffen we wat we misten tijdens Clouseau 10 x 10: de Heavy Horns dus. Ook geen matige nieuwe nummers uit het nieuwe album van Clouseau te bespeuren op de setlist. Enkel "Zij aan zij“ en "Leve België“ werden opgerakeld. Die laatste wist trouwens op maar weinig enthousiasme te rekenen in het nieuwe jaar. Even de hitparade er bij nemen. Die vertelt ons dat Clouseau op de 7de  plaats in het jaaroverzicht 2009 staat met zijn album "Zij aan zij“. In 2007 stond de band nog op 1 met "Vonken en Vuur“ en stond "Clouseau20“ op 2. In 2008 stond die verzamelaar op 1. Natalia bleef steken op 24 met Wise Girl in 2009. Terwijl haar album al in mei uitkwam en dat van Clouseau pas eind oktober. 2010 Wordt dan ook het jaar voor Natalia om te herbevestigen, want haar ster is tanend. Idool blijkt vooral instantartiesten opgeleverd te hebben in het eerste decennium van het nieuwe millennium.

    Body Vandalism: Lady Gaga, Disability, and Popular Culture Christopher R. Smit, PhD Calvin College, USA Abstract: This essay investigates the employment of disability by the pop star Lady Gaga. Working through different illustrations of disability in her videos it is argued that Lady Gaga ushers in a new aesthetic and political platform on which disability can be redefined. In particular, the author argues that Lady Gaga unconsciously performs within the space of what Siebers has named a disability aesthetic in which the different bodies reformulate the expectations and desires of the art object. The context of popular culture is explained as a necessary component of this reframing.
