Convent shrine & garden, lakes, meadows, hill and beauty spot In Brief This is a lovely picnic walk, best in the warmer months when the spring and summer flowers are on show. At the middle point, there is an exhilarating short climb to the top of Hydon's Ball. There are only two stiles on this walk, both dog friendly. There are one or two patches of nettles so shorts might be inadvisable. In wetter conditions, there are a few muddy sections, but mostly avoidable. The children will be visiting the centre for the day to go on a nature walk, bug hunt, experience pond dipping and den building. This trip will link in with our learning about habitats and living things. With the Government providing free school meals for children at KS1, we will be offering a free packed lunch for your child on this trip, however you must indicate on the enclosed consent form that you would like us to do so. We have two menus from which to choose, Menu A and Menu B; please see the choice below. Please note that it is not possible to offer any alternatives to the menu below and that if a menu choice is not notified by Wednesday 24th May, you will need to provide your child with a packed lunch. This is because the kitchen staff have to place their food order in advance of the trip. All of these courses take place on Tuesdays throughout years 10 and 11. It also explains the application procedures and expectations to which you would need to agree should you be successful in your application. A good education is the key to better life chances, equipping you with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to succeed in further learning, work, and opening the door to greater prosperity and wider opportunities. As a federation we are working collaboratively with our partner schools and colleges to give you a greater breadth and choice of subjects to study in order that you can design a personalised curriculum which motivates, interests and challenges you. These Special Options are equivalent to GCSE but are taught and assessed in a different way and enable you to study in a more adult environment at a college or specialist training centre. You should take time to consider what options will best suit you, listening to advice from your teachers and researching the possibilities carefully. The number of places available on each course is limited and the application and interview processes are competitive. Gorse Hill Wormley, Surrey GU8 A modern conversion of an important traditional building in an outstanding position with views across the Weald towards the South Downs. The cost of running Surrey History Centre is met within the Library and Cultural Services Department and the proposed cut in the annual budget for the whole department from £8.7m to £4.0m would, if implemented, have a dramatic effect on every aspect including Surrey History Centre. Many of us work with or make use of the Surrey County Council services under review and know the quality of the staff and how greatly research by ourselves and others will be affected if the proposed cuts go ahead. It would be a sad state of affairs if a county such as our own cannot adequately provide services such as these that enhance the quality of life and sense of place for all our residents and visitors.
