THE MAINTENANCE ORDERS (FACILITIES FOR ENFORCEMENT) ACT, 1921. THE MAINTENANCE ORDERS (FACILITIES FOR ENFORCEMENT) ORDER, 1963. WHEREAS it is enacted by section eleven of the Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) Act, 1921, as amended by section twenty-five of the Matrimonial Proceedings (Magistrates' Courts) Act, 1962 that, where the Governor is satisfied that reciprocal provisions have been made by the Parliament of the United Kingdom, or by the legislature of any country to which the Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) Act, 1920 (being an Act of the said Parlia- ment) extends by virtue of an Order in Council, for the enforcement of mainten- ance orders made by Courts within the Isle of Man, the Governor may by Order extend this Act to any part of the United Kingdom or of that country where the said provisions have effect. AND WHEREAS by Order in Council made by Her Majesty on the 11th day of March, 1959, the Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) Act, 1920 (being an Act of the Imperial Parliament) has been extended to the countries specified in Schedule 1 of that Order (a copy of the said Order in Council being hereto annexed). AND WHEREAS reciprocal provisions have been made by the Legislatures of the countries set out in the Schedule to this Order for the enforcement within such countries of Maintenance Orders made by Courts within the Isle of Man. Now THEREFORE I, the said Lieutenant Governor, under and by virtue of the powers vested in me by the said section eleven of the Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) Act, 1921, DO HEREBY ORDER AS FOLLOWS:— 1. The Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) Act, 1921, shall extend to the countries specified in Schedule 1 hereto; 2. The Orders specified in Schedule 2 hereto are hereby revoked; 3. This Order may be cited as the Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforce- ment) Order, 1963. GIVEN under my hand this 11th day of June, 1963. R. H. GARVEY, Lieutenant Governor. Price: 6d. Present, The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council Whereas Her Majesty is satisfied that reciprocal provisions have been made by the Legislatures of the countries and territories specified in the First Schedule hereto for the enforcement within those countries and territories of maintenance orders made by courts within England and Northern Ireland: Now, therefore, Her Majesty, by virtue and in exercise of the power conferred on Her by section 12 of the Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) Act, 1920 and section 19 of the Maintenance Orders Act, 1958, and of all other powers enabling Her in that behalf, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:— 1. The Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) Act, 1920, shall extend to the countries and territories specified in the First Schedule hereto. 2. The Orders extending the Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforcement) Act, 1920 to the territories mentioned in Part 1 of the Second Schedule hereto and the Orders specified in Part 2 of the Second Schedule hereto are hereby revoked. 3. (1) This Order may be cited as the Maintenance Orders (Facilities for Enforce- ment) Order, 1959. (2) The Interpretation Act, 1889 shall apply for the purposes of interpreting this Order ds it applies for the purpose of interpreting an Act of Parliament, W. G. AGNEW.
