The series is not only the antechamber to Formula One… each weekend is an incredible event in itself for spectators, young and old. ((Leave clip playing)) 00:45 VO: An incredible show over an entire weekend, at top tracks all over Europe, and this year for the first time, as the inaugural event at the brand new Moscow Raceway… 01:07 (Girls speak Russian – Leave in Russian) 01:09 VO: For the Russians, this was more than just a curtain raiser. 01:12 ITV – Jan PTACEK – Marketing Director Renault Russia (in French) “We are organising the World Series by Renault in Moscow for the first time, on a brand new track” 01:19 ITV – Ekatherina BELTSEVICH – Project Director Moscow Raceway (in English) “Very proud, and very excited to open such a track. “It’s like a dream… to host the World Series by Renault here, to host such stars of motor sport, to see everything operating.” 01:35 VO: And for most of the spectators, it was their first ever glimpse of a real Formula One car. 01:40 ITV – Vitaly PETROV – Caterham Renault Formula One Driver (in English) “When I was a kid I wanted to drive Formula One in my own country and finally I can do that. Now you can see people having a lot of fun and they are all waiting, so I will try to show them the best I can. Try to burn as many tyres as I can.” Renault Sport Technologies Tél. : +33 (0)1 76 82 82 00 Z.A. Courtaboeuf Fax. : 33 (0)1 76 82 83 75 14, avenue des Tropiques Internet : www.renault-sport.com 91 978 Courtaboeuf Cedex - France 02:06 ITV – Jan PTACEK – Marketing Director Renault Russia (in French) “I consider that this weekend has been a resounding success.” 02:12 VO: The weekend will go down in history as the first ever high level motor sport track event in Russia, and will no doubt be just the beginning of the new legend… of the Moscow Raceway. 02:23 JINGLE FR 2.0 SEASON REVIEW 02:27 Established Formula One names like Kimi Räikkönen, Lewis Hamilton and Felipe Massa and new arrivals Romain Grosjean, Charles Pic, Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-Eric Vergne all made their breakthroughs at the wheel of the Formula Renault 2.0. Some 40 drivers entered the category this season. 02:43 And the first race got under way at Motorland in Spain with a mass pile-up… though the wreckage was cleared by the end of lap one. Later, on lap seven a crash between Daniel Cammish (Atech Reid GP) and Hans Villemi (Koiranen Motorsport), saw Villemi’s car flipping over. The rain began to hammer down as the marshals set about clearing the track, with just a few minutes of the race remaining. The subsequent red flag cut short proceedings, leaving Kvyat the season’s first winner ahead of De Vries and Vandoorne. 03:06 In Race 2, Daniil Kvyat (Koiranen Motorsport) never looked back after passing Oscar Tunjo (Tech 1 Racing) on turn two, going on to notch his second victory of the weekend at Motorland Aragon. The Red Bull Junior Team takes an early command in the overall standings. 03 :18 At SPA FRANCORCHAMPS, the French driver Norman Nato led Race 1 from start to finish. The battle for second place between Stoffel Vandoorne (Josef Kaufmann Racing) and Pierre Gasly (R-Ace GP) raged to the end, with Vandoorne ultimately getting the better of Gasly . 03:37 The second Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 race of the weekend played out in testing weather conditions, with a soaking wet track and poor visibility. With several spectacular accidents during the race… such as this one, that brought out the safety car, Daniil Kvyat (Koiranen Motorsport) managed nevertheless to record his third victory of the season. He was joined on the podium by Jake Dennis (Fortec Motorsports) and Stoffel Vandoorne (Josef Kaufmann Racing). 04:02 On another legendary track, the Nürburgring, pole man Stoffel Vandoorne (Josef Kaufmann Racing) added to his season tally of two third places and one second by claiming his very first victory in the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0. He was joined on the podium by Norman Nato (RC Formula) and Paul-Loup Chatin (Tech 1 Racing). Daniil Kvyat (Koiranen Motorsport), could only manage fifth. Renault Sport Technologies Tél. : +33 (0)1 76 82 82 00 Z.A. Courtaboeuf Fax. : 33 (0)1 76 82 83 75 14, avenue des Tropiques Internet : www.renault-sport.com 91 978 Courtaboeuf Cedex - France 04:18 In race two, Stoffel Vandoorne (Josef Kaufmann Racing) completed a dominant weekend in Germany, with two pole positions, two race victories and two fastest race laps… and he takes the lead in the standings. Melville McKee (Interwetten.com Racing), who started in 32nd, and Pierre Gasly (R- Ace GP) completed the podium at the end of an eventful race, in which slick tyres proved to be the smart choice after a few laps. 04:37 Running on home turf at Moscow Raceway, Daniil Kvyat (Koiranen Motorsport) gave the fans plenty to cheer about after making the perfect start and driving a solid race to take victory. Powerless to halt the Red Bull Junior Team driver, Stoffel Vandoorne (Josef Kaufmann Racing) had to settle for second as his championship lead was cut to six points. Completing the podium was Oliver Rowland (Fortec Motorsports), his best result of the season so far. Kvyet receives his cup from the hands of the legendary Alain PROST. 05:02 On Sunday, in a virtual re-run of Saturday’s race, Daniil Kvyat (Koiranen Motorsport) jumps into the lead at the start and stays there all the way to the line… winning closely from Vandoorne (Josef Kaufmann Racing) and Britain’s Oliver Rowland (Fortec Motorsports). 05:12 ITV Daniil KVYAT (Koiranen Motorsport) (in English) “I don’t really know what to say. I will probably never forget this weekend because just to see a double win, and Kauffman Racing was ready for us here, but we managed to be better. Just a fantastic side once again and I am very happy. Very happy. Thanks to my team and everybody who supported me.” 05:29 (Championship standings) At the half way point in the championship, Kvyat has a one-point lead over Belgian rivel Stoffel Vandoorne . 05:37 Jingle – Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup “Update” VO: The 2013 version of the Formula Renault 2.0 was revealed in October in Montmelo. It will run next year in the ninth season of the World Series by Renault. 05:51 ITV – François CHAMPOD – Competition Director – Renault Sport Technology (in French) “It’s not really a new car. It’s an upgrade kit we are proposing after three years. We had the chance to improve safety, with the latest safety norms of the FIA… improved performance, quality, and the look of the car – more modern and attractive for young drivers.” 06:12 VO: Jake Dennis, winner of the Formula Renault 2.0 North European Cup was chosen to give the new car its first run. Renault Sport Technologies Tél. : +33 (0)1 76 82 82 00 Z.A. Courtaboeuf Fax. : 33 (0)1 76 82 83 75 14, avenue des Tropiques Internet : www.renault-sport.com 91 978 Courtaboeuf Cedex - France 06:23 ITV – Jake Dennis – Fortec Motorsports (In English) “To drive, it feels quite nice. On the brakes, it seems to be a lot better. Obviously with 30% more aero… it certainly makes quite a lot of difference to the high speed cornering as well. It is certainly a step up from the car we had before, and I think Renault have done a superb job with the car.” 06:39 (Images of Car – No Voice Over) 06:42 ITV – Jake Dennis – Fortec Motorsports (In English) “Obviously it is mainly the bodywork which is mainly different, and the flooring… the top is very different – it’s a lot more clean cut, a lot more aerodynamic. The rear and front wings are pretty much similar. It takes a bit of getting used to the tub, because the tub goes upwards as it gets close to different nose cones, so I am sure the seating position will be a lot different from this year to next year, but all in all, it is a fantastic car.” 07:17 ITV – François CHAMPOD – Competition Director – Renault Sport Technology (in French) “We wanted something affordable for the teams… it’s after three years, so we didn’t want to do a whole new car. Allt he mechanical and electronic parts are conserved. It’s the same as today’s car. What changes is the cockpit and the bodywork.” 07:33 VO: Bodywork that has more than one young hopeful dreaming of getting behind the wheel. 07:41 Jingle – Season Review 07:46 VO: The season review continues as we go to Budapest – where Stoffel Vandoorne (Josef Kaufmann Racing) records his third victory of the season, taking advantage of the retirement of Daniil Kvyat (Koiranen Motorsport), to seize control of the championship and move 24 points clear of the Russian.

Jules Bianchi, 25, dies nine months after F1 driver crashed at Japanese Grand Prix Posted by TBN_News On 07/20/2015 (3 August 1989 – 17 July 2015) Jules Bianchi was a French motor racing driver who drove for Marussia F1 in the FIA Formula One World Championship. Bianchi had previously raced in Formula Renault 3.5, the GP2 Series and Formula Three and was a Ferrari Driver Academy member. He entered Formula One as a practice driver in 2012 for Sahara Force India. In 2013, he made his debut driving for Marussia, finishing 15th in his opening race in Australia and ended the season in 19th position without scoring any points. His best result that year was 13th at the Malaysian Grand Prix. In October 2013, the team confirmed that he would drive for the team the following season. In the 2014 season, he scored both his and the Marussia's first points in Formula One at the Monaco Grand Prix. On 5 October 2014, during the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka, Bianchi lost control of his Marussia in very wet conditions and collided with a recovery vehicle, suffering a diffuse axonal injury. He underwent emergency surgery and was then placed into an induced coma, and remained comatose until his death on 17 July 2015. Bianchi is the first Formula One driver to be killed as a result of an accident during a Grand Prix since 1994. Bianchi died from his injuries on 17 July 2015, aged 25. His death made him the first Formula One driver to be killed by injuries sustained during a Grand Prix since Ayrton Senna in 1994.

  • Press Release
Press Release OCTOBER 06, 2013 Podium lock out for Renault power in Korean Grand Prix Sebastian Vettel wins Korean Grand Prix for Infiniti Red Bull RacingRenault, four seconds ahead of Kimi Raikkonen. Lotus F1 Team’s Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grosjean finish second and third to make podium 100% Renault powered. Third allRenault powered podium this season. Vettel has led 209 of the past 213 racing laps. Vettel’s win gives him a mathematical chance to seal championship in Japan. Renaultpowered drivers locked out the podium in today’s Korean Grand Prix, with Sebastian Vettel (Infiniti Red Bull Racing) winning the chaotic race from Lotus F1 Team’s Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grosjean. The perfect podium result is the third time this season that the podium has been 100% Renaultpowered.* Vettel – whose pole position yesterday took Renault’s total of F1 poles to 208, equal with Ferrari’s record – opened up a comfortable lead at the start ahead of Grosjean, who had jumped ahead of Hamilton on the first corner. The pair built up a cushion of several seconds over the battles behind and were able to pit and rejoin in formation. Vettel remained in front despite two different safety cars but Raikkonen got the jump on Grosjean before the second safety car period. The Finn had a standout race from P9 on the grid, overtaking Rosberg, Hamilton, Alonso, Hulkenberg and finally his teammate to score his second consecutive podium. Mark Webber started from P13 as a result of a grid penalty but quickly found himself into the top ten racing with Alonso and Raikkonen.

  • Programme Peugeot Sport 2008
PROGRAMME PEUGEOT SPORT 2008 - Press release - Peugeot 908 HDi FAP - Technical Data - Calendar - Drivers - The team - Press officer - Motor Sport Promotional Activities 2008 PROGRAMME A YEAR OF MANY CHALLENGES The 2007 season turned out to be one of the most rewarding ever for Peugeot Sport which launched four different new cars on the world motor sport scene, from the factory programme with the 908 HDi FAP to its package of promotional formulae with the 207 LW THP, 207 Super 2000 and Spider THP. The lessons learned by the team while finding its marks last year will be implemented in 2008 and all its energy will be devoted to building on that experience to achieve its objectives. This time last year, under the leadership of Michel Barge, Peugeot Sport organised a dynamic presentation of the new 908 HDi FAP to announce its modest objectives for the season ahead. Following the car's initial gestation, which was rapid to say the least, Team Peugeot Total enjoyed a memorable season which brought its fair share of surprises, satisfactions and passion, not to mention the unrelenting toil which enabled it to secure results well beyond its expectations and targets. Indeed, never in Peugeot's history had a competition car won out of the box, yet the 908 HDi FAP claimed victory in its debut race at Monza before going on to clinch the 2007 Le Mans Series. Team Peugeot Total won all six rounds, started from pole position each time and posted every fastest race lap, not to mention its unhoped-for performance at Le Mans where it started from pole position before taking second place at the end of the 24-hour race.
