Now berthed in Edinburgh, the guests can follow in the footsteps of Royalty to discover the heart and soul of this most special of Royal residences.

They will enjoy a truly memorable experience at the Palace including a visit to Moot Hill accompanied by Robert the Bruce (costumed character) a private tour of the Palace, refreshments overlooking the River Tay ITINERARY and a musical performance from the Clarsach (Scottish Harp).

The experience will end with a surprise finale outside the Palace, as the guests are ambushed by The Clan who will perform a sensational fighting and swordsmanship display using a variety of traditional weapons. The guests will then board their fleet of 4x4 vehicles and self-drive for 45 minutes through scenic Perthshire countryside to their lunch venue, Glamis Castle.

Lunch When the guests arrive at Glamis Castle they will park their vehicles in the grounds and be invited to the Victorian Kitchen Restaurant where they will enjoy a delicious 2 course lunch and they can chat about their journey.

Afternoon After lunch the guests will divide into groups and take tours of Glamis Castle which was the Childhood Home of HM Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother. They will also experience a fascinating Falconry display! They will then board their coaches and transfer approx. 95 minutes to their Hotel.

Evening Dinner will be served in Tigerlily located on George Street, a trendy boutique venue in the heart of Edinburgh’s New Town.

Guests will be welcomed to The Scotch Whisky experience and invited to board a travelling Whisky Barrel for a spirited insight into the story behind Scotland’s most famous export – Whisky! The journey will take the guests through a virtual distillery which explains the production and maturation process of whisky making. The Whisky experiences expert guides and Whisky advisors will be with the group every sip of the way!

Guests are then escorted to the sensory rooms where they will learn more about the different regions that produce whisky in Scotland and the flavours and aromas of these regions.

The tour will finish with a close-up look at the world’s largest collection of Scotch Whisky, the Diageo Claive Vidiz Collection. A once in a lifetime opportunity to enter the world’s largest collection of Scotch Whisky; almost 3,500 individual bottles.

THE CAVES

Fifteen hundred years ago, it was the capital of the Pictish kingdom and the centre of the ancient Celtic church. In the intervening centuries, it has been the seat of parliaments and the crowning place of Kings. It has housed the Stone of Destiny and been immortalised in Shakespeare’s Macbeth.

The guests will be divided into 2 groups. First group are lead off to Moot Hill by Robert the Bruce (Costumed guide) and their tour will begin.

The second group are met by an expert Palace guide and taken to the Murray Rooms for Refreshments overlooking the Park with views of the River Tay and will be entertained by the Scottish Clarsach. (Harp).The groups will rotate .

Scotland. DAYFOUR Anyone who has read Dan Brown’s worldwide best seller ‘The Da Vinci Code’ or seen the film staring Tom Hanks will be fascinated by the mysteries and legends surrounding this ‘Architectural Wonder’.

After filming, Tom Hanks said: ‘Few locations in film are so delightful and few destinations live up to their billing, but Rosslyn Chapel was all one could imagine or hope for.

Since the film’s release in 2006, the Chapel has enjoyed unprecedented visitor numbers and people now travel from all over the world to see the spectacular carvings covering practically every surface and to hear about the many different interpretations of their meanings.

Louise Marshall is very proud to be the official Piper to The Lord Provost of Edinburgh and loves to promote Scottish music, Culture and Tradition. She is extremely passionate about her instrument and also hosts Bagpipe workshops. During the workshop, she pipes in full traditional Highland dress and once seated, all guests are given a chanter as well as music with the scale/tune (Auld Lang Syne).

She then introduces guests to the basic scale and the first few DAYFOUR notes/embellishments required to play the first line of Auld Lang Syne on the practice chanter - this is always great fun as well as being very informative!

Throughout the workshop, she introduces some fun Scottish/tartan for guests to wear - should they so wish, including sporrans, glengarries, feather bonnets, plaids and kilts. She always find guests are up for this! Louise then invites guests up to try and play the first few notes of Auld Lang Syne on the bagpipes, wearing their tartan wear and she forms a 6 or 8 piece band with all the guests playing their instruments, including pipes, chanters and percussive instruments.

As a grand finale the entire group plays 'We will rock you' This really is a truly unique fun Scottish experience! Guests are then issues with a Bagpipe certificate and a small Scottish gift to take home.

EDINBURGH CITY CENTRE SIGHTSEEING TOUR ON-BOARD A VINTAGE RED BUS

Guests will be delighted as they are met by the iconic Red 1960s double-decker bus. The 2 vehicles have been kept in vintage condition, complete with authentic red livery, tartan moquette seating, tungsten lighting and plenty of chrome.

Guests will be greeted by the conductor on the open platform and shown to their seats. The conductor will hand out tickets from a vintage ticket machine and give bell signals to the driver.

The guides will be on-board using the bus's PA system to give an informative but light-hearted commentary throughout the journey.

A personalised destination blind in the original format with the text of your choice can be displayed.

Just hop on the open platform, and it's ding-ding and away!

EDINBURGH CITY CENTRE SIGHTSEEING TOUR ON-BOARD A VINTAGE RED BUS

The route of the bus can be tailored to suit the interests of the group with a duration of 45-60 minutes for a tour of the city passing by some of Edinburgh's most famous landmarks with the journey ending where it began.

We can extend the tour by a further 30 minutes and stop the bus at Calton Hill so the guests can get off the bus and stretch their legs. The guide would lead them to the summit of Calton Hill which is easily accessed by a staircase (approx. 5 minute climb). There are fantastic views across the city and this would be a great photograph opportunity for them and a great finale to their visit to Scotland.
