The story begins with Pietro Emilio Abbona who after having introduced the wine from Barolo to the most important world wide expositions of the late 1800’s and early 1900’s, with the help of his sisters Marina and Celestina, continued for the rest of the century to build up the winery presenting it to the world markets and therefore contributing to make Barolo wine and its town the legend it is now, dear to all gourmets and lovers of quality. Today Marchesi di Barolo is headed by Anna and Ernesto Abbona the 5th generationon. The Vineyards of Barolo include also some of the best Crus like Cannubi, Sarmassa, Coste di Rose, but also Preda, Castellero, Vignane, Boschetti, Ravera and Fossati, which represent the excellence of the ‘Barolo from Barolo’. 4 WWW.VINISSIMO.CO.UK MARCHESI DI BAROLO PIEDMONT Bin No Red Vol Vintage Case Size Langhe Dolcetto DOC Servaj RBDSM01 100% Dolcetto 13% 2014/15 6 x 75cl Barbera del Monferrato DOC Maraia RBBMM02 100% Barbera 13% 2014 6 x 75cl Nebbiolo d'Alba DOC Michet RBNAM01 100% Nebbiolo 13% 2013 6 x 75cl Barbera d’Alba DOC Peiragal RBBPM01 100% Barbera 14% 2013 6 x 75cl Barbaresco DOCG Tradizione RBBTM02 100% Nebbiolo 14.5% 2012 6 x 75cl Barolo DOCG Tradizione RBBTM01 100% Nebbiolo 14% 2011 6 x 75cl Barbaresco DOCG Serragrilli* RBBSM01 100% Nebbiolo 14.5% 2012 6 x 75cl Barolo DOCG Cannubi* RBBCM01 100% Nebbiolo 14.5% 2011 6 x 75cl Barolo DOCG Cannubi* RBBCM02 100% Nebbiolo 14% 2005 6 x 75cl Barolo DOCG Riserva della Casa* RBBRM01 100% Nebbiolo 14% 2006 6 x 75cl Barolo DOCG Riserva della Casa* RBBRM01 100% Nebbiolo 14% 2008/9 6 x 75cl * Limited Quantity 5 MARCHESI DI BAROLO PIEDMONT Marco Bonfante MARCO BONFANTE Marco Bonfante winery was born from Marco’s and Micaela’s – brother and sister - passion for wine, continuing the tradition of the Bonfante family, which has been producing wines in Piedmont for 8 generations. Micaela looks after the administrative side while Marco, with his diploma from the Oenology and Viticulture school of Alba, is in charge of production and marketing. “For us, Piedmont is a land of great wines, with centuries-old wine and gastronomic tradition. The micro-climate and the characteristics of the soils, which change considerably from one area to another, give us the chance to find the best “terroir” conditions, both for the various autochthonous vines and for international ones”. 6 WWW.VINISSIMO.CO.UK MARCO BONFANTE PIEDMONT Bin No White Vol Vintage Case Size Moscato d’Asti DOCG WBMDB01 100% Moscato 5% 2015 6 x 75cl Gavi DOCG del Comune di Gavi WBGG02 100% Cortese 12.5% 2015 6 x 75cl Perste' Roero Arneis DOCG WBRAP02 100% Arneis 13% 2014 6 x 75cl NEW Gavi DOCG del Comune di Gavi "I Ronchetti" WBGG07 100% Cortese 12.5% 2015 6 x 75cl Bin No Red Vol Vintage Case Size Stella Rossa Barbera d’Asti Superiore DOCG RBBSR01 100% Barbera 14% 2013 6 x 75cl Sernej Monferrato DOC Rosso RBMSB04 60% Barbera 30% Cabernet Sauvignon 10% Freisa 14% 2010 6 x 75cl Duedidue Monferrato DOC Rosso RBMDD01 55% Barbera 45% Cabernet Sauvignon 14% 2009 6 x 75cl Bricco Bonfante Barbera d’Asti Superiore DOCG RBBBB01 100% Barbera 15% 2010 6 x 75cl Albarone Piemonte DOC Albarossa RBAR001 100% Albarossa 15% 2011 6 x 75cl 7 MARCO BONFANTE PIEDMONT LA CHIARA Endowed with a strong sense of country tradition, the Bergaglio family really contributed to the birth of “Gavi”, helping in its success and keeping on producing this great wine up today, through the efforts of three generations. Bergaglio Farm firmly believes in the principle that great wines come from vines firs of all; therefore they devote themselves entirely to the most careful cultivation of vines, strictly respecting the territory and the environment. Severe pruning and a constant thinning out allow lower yields but highly better quality levels. LA CHIARA BOSIO It was 1967 when the Bosio family, Egidio and Angela decided to start a work and a life full of fatigue and satisfactions; like every good farmer Egidio started step by step, with humility and tenacity, not pretending to reach success immediately and knowing that working hard and paying attention to the quality of the products would have given him results. Now, in the XXIth Century, the company includes 60 acres of vineyards, divided in the typical cultures of the zone. The plots of land are mainly in S. Stefano Belbo but also in Castiglione Tinella, Mango, Costigliole d’Asti and Castagnole Lanze. The company is continuing to grow and today is a real landmark in the wine scene of Langhe. It’s developing both the national and international market. 8 WWW.VINISSIMO.CO.UK BOSIO PIEDMONT Bin No White Vol Vintage Case Size NEW Gavi DOCG del Comune di Gavi WBGG11 100% Cortese 12.5% 2015 6 x 75cl LA CHIARA Bin No White Vol Vintage Case Size Piemonte Cortese DOC WBCPB01 100% Cortese 12% 2014 6 x 75cl Gavi DOCG WBGB08 100% Cortese 13% 2015 6 x 75cl Bin No Red Vol Vintage Case Size Piemonte Barbera DOC RBBPB01 100% Barbera 12.5% 2015 6 x 75cl Boschi Dei Signori Nebbiolo D’Alba DOC RBNAB01 100% Nebbiolo 14% 2013 6 x 75cl Boschi Dei Signori Barbera D’Alba “Egidio” DOC RBBAB01 100% Barbera 14% 2013 6 x 75cl 9 BOSIO LOMBARDY CÀ MAIOL From the ancient Provencal origins of the Contato family, on a strip of land in the Garda Lake area, the Cà Maiol winery was created. Founded in 1967 by their father Walter, today the company continues its noble traditions through the commitment and the dedication of Fabio and Patrizia Contato. And thanks to this enthusiasm, the winery has increased from the original 12 hectares in the heart of the production area of Lugana wine, to the current 140, extending throughout a rich and fertile terrain. The love for this land and the passion for wine, make the Cà Maiol winery a strong wine-producing presence among the most esteemed wineries of the area, which according to the family tradition lives on a daily pleasure of producing and offering excellent wines to the public. 10 WWW.VINISSIMO.CO.UK CÀ MAIOL LOMBARDY Bin No White Vol Vintage Case Size Prestige Lugana DOP WBLP02 100% Trebbiano di Lugana 12.5% 2015 6 x 75cl Molin Vigneti Storici Lugana DOP WBLM01 100% Trebbiano di Lugana 13% 2014/15 6 x 75cl Fabio Contato Lugana DOP WBLFC01 100% Trebbiano di Lugana 13.5% 2011/12 6 x 75cl Soldore’ Passito Benaco Bresciano IGP WHPS01 Trebbiano di Lugana and Chardonnay 13% N/V 1 x 37.5cl Bin No Red Vol Vintage Case Size Joel Garda Classico DOP Groppello RBGJ01 Groppello Gentile e di Mocasina 13% 2013/14 6 x 75cl Valtenesi Negresco DOC RBNGC03 Groppello, Barbera, Sangiovese & Marzemino 13.5% 2011 6 x 75cl Fabio Contato Garda DOC Classico Rosso RBNGC02 Groppello, Barbera, Sangiovese & Marzemino 14% 2009/10 6 x 75cl Bin No Rosé Vol Vintage Case Size Chiaretto Valtenesi Roseri DOP PBGCC01 Groppello, Barbera, Sangiovese & Marzemino 12.5% 2014 6 x 75cl Bin No Sparkling Vol Vintage Case Size Sebastian Brut Spumante Metodo Charmat WBLS01 White berry vines 12.5% N/V 6 x 75cl Sebastian Brut Rosato Metodo Charmat PBSS01 Red berry vines 12.5% N/V 6 x 75cl Brut Lugana DOC Spumante Metodo Classico WBLCS01 100% Trebbiano di Lugana 12.5% N/V 6 x 75cl 11 CÀ MAIOL LOMBARDY RIVETTI & LAURO Rivetti & Lauro comes out of an ambitious idea. Accepted 21 July, 2008 This study was carried out in a 20 year old spur pruned Karasakız (Kuntra) vineyard during the 2003 and 2004 growth season.
