Meeting note Project name Expansion of Heathrow Airport (Third Runway) File reference TR020003 Status Final Author The Planning Inspectorate Date 13 June 2018 Meeting with Heathrow Airport Limited (HAL) Venue Heathrow Airport Circulation All attendees Meeting objective The Planning Inspectorate (the Inspectorate) undertook a site visit with the Applicant on 13 June 2018 to view various elements of the Proposed Development including areas identified as potential Associated Development sites within the Applicant’s Scoping Report submitted to the Inspectorate in May 2018. Summary of site visit The site visit comprised the following elements: 1. A short introductory session including office tour, safety briefing. 2. Drive by northern flood storage options. 3. Drive to Saxon Mill Trading Estate via Biffa and Lakeside Energy Site and walk to Harmondsworth Moor to view River Colne and River Wraysbury. 4. Drive to Harmondsworth Great Barn and St Mary’s Church and Harmondsworth Conservation Area, view area of property loss. 5. Drive to Sipson including views of Heathrow Primary School and area of property loss at eastern end of proposed third runway and existing quarrying sites/proposed area for northern car parking. 6. Drive to eastern end of runway to view River Crane and planes overflying area. 7. Drive around eastern perimeter including view of listed British Airways operational buildings. 8. Drive along southern perimeter to view existing surface water treatment works and Scheduled Monument site at Mayfield Farm. 9. Drive to Stanwell, viewing Twin Rivers and Southern Perimeter Road. View Stanwell Conservation Area and St Mary’s Church. 10. Drive through Stanwell Moor taking in views of J14, Poyle Meadows (part of Staines Moor SSSI) and junction arrangements, view Poyle industrial estate. 11. Drive to Windsor Great Park and view area of potential borrow pits. 12. Drive to Western Perimeter Road and view area of runway and taxiway extensions, including land adjacent to Accommodation Lane. 13. Drive to Lakeside Energy from Waste site and view existing site arrangements, including other industrial uses. .
