No.485/2008ʊ Whereas, the draft notification bearing No.24583/HUD., dated the 12th September, 2008 was published in Form-III of the Orissa Municipal Corporation (Division of City into Wards Reservation of Seats and Conduct of Election) Rules, 2003 inviting objections and suggestions from all persons interested in respect of the said draft notification showing the division of the area of the Cuttack Municipal Corporation into wards and reservation of seats thereof on or before the date of expiry of the period of ten days; And, whereas, objections or suggestions received within the period so specified have been duly considered ; Now therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 60 of the Orissa Municipal Corporation Act, 2003 (Orissa Act 11 of 2003), read with sub-rule (5) of rule 3 of the Orissa Municipal Corporation (Division of City into Wards, Reservation of Seats and Conduct of Election) Rules, 2003, the Government after consulting the Cuttack Municipal Corporation do hereby divide the area of the said Municipal corporation into 54 wards as specified in column (2) of the Statement-I below with the description and boundaries of the said wards against each in columns (3) and (4) respectively thereof for the purpose of ensuing election of Corporators to the same and determine the wards as specified in column (2) of the Statement-II below in which the seats reserved under section 7 of the said Act shall be set assigned against each in column (3) thereof. 2 STATEMENT-I Sl.
